I am curious…what could he have said to not make you think this?

Something along the lines of…”We are not that good, and changes need to be made. The schemes, play calls, and personnel groupings we thought would win us a championship this season are not working. I and my fellow coaches are not doing a good job and it falls almost completely on us for not recognizing and making the appropriate changes earlier. In order to fix this we need to shake up what we are doing. Going forward we are going to do X, y, and X.”

I mean this would be a very good start.

I totally agree….however, that is what he has been saying all along. My point is, at this point, people just want to bitch and are not really interested in a real answer.

Genuinely curious how many big time boosters made it a point to watch that press conference

I completely agree with this opinion…We would be better off with Curley Hallman!!

Let's not get crazy. BK can be an a-hole at times, he is underachieving with this team, and I may be ready to move on from him, but let's not act like he's Curley Hallman. We're not even nearly as bad off as a number of big schools out there. He did a good job of turning the program around fast and stabilizing us. He's just failing to get us to the next level and we expect more in year 4.

Hallman did nothing but lose and often got blown out. Things aren't close to that bad. But they aren't as good as they should be in year 4 with the talent we have. He's just not meeting expectations at this point.

He has said absolutely nothing of the sort. All he has said is all is well, nothing to see here, move along. Any criticism he has is directed at the players, no accountability on the coaching staff, and if anyone disagrees with him it’s because we are spoiled. He is a highly unlikeable hard headed multimillionaire we are stuck with who has not, and if left up to him will not, change anything.

My ND friend told me this would be the case when we hired him away and also told me he was glad we did. I thought he was sour grapes at the time but turns out he was correct.

The contract that's Scott Woodward put in front of him guaranteed that somebody Kelly's age, who's making one last stop before it's all over, would not give a shite if nothing went right. He doesn't care. He has no reason to care.

Neither has Penn State or Wisconsin. And Penn State lost to Northwestern and then UCLA the week after they fired their coach. Wisconsin has lost their last two games by a combined score of 71-0. Auburn is 0-4 in the SEC with a 3-4 record.

I'm just saying there are big schools doing considerably worse than us. Not taking up for Kelly because our offense is indefensible (and our D Saturday wasn't much better). We're underachieving, but at least our two losses are to good, pretty highly ranked teams. I'm just saying we're not in Curley Hallman territory.
