On the other hand its posts like this one where people say it’s time to contribute money. It’s exasperating to say the least.
the pride, the team building, the loyalty made CFB a superior sport. Without it the NFL is better and high school is more entertaining

Correct from your standpoint and likely many people over the age of 40.

But what about the younger fan? Do they like this new era of college football or are they not fans of the sport?

Not until they fix NIL and transfer portal!!! I’m going to donate more money to a 18-19 year old to get rich off of my hard earned money only to watch them transfer a year or 2 later! lol

I have zero issue donating but I need some sort of ROI & transparency on where the money is being allocated to. They are going to have to show some level of success in the portal. We crushed it in 2022, Failed miserably in 2023 and pretty much sat out 2024. I don't know what to believe this staff is capable of but they have to start landing guys and building some momentum.

I admire everyone’s passion on the NIL. But will not support what the sport has devolved into.

Then don't complain when we lose out on a recruit or a transfer or when we lose a game because the other team out manned us.

With our million plus BK's million we're 1/5th-ish of the way to a starting QB

I know it's mostly a publicity stunt, but I commend him for doing it. I haven't seen any other coaches going this far, but watch the trend it starts.

Personally I think if you are making money off of other colleges you shouldn't be able to put up money against schools. Nike money shouldn't be able to be put against schools you made money off of.

Saban donated a $M to the cox center when he was making like $3M. That's commitment. BK gave a 3 loss commitment with strings in my estimation..

You think Nick Saban donated 1/3 of his salary for an academic center?

I've donated 4 grand since last year.
While it's not a million every little bit helps.

So youse at 11.xx tree fiddys and going more...just joking. I'm definitely going to contribute, we have to get Nuss a Heisman in '25 and continue the QB tradition.

Hey, let’s not agree with the current era but let’s contribution money to something we don’t agree with just to field a competitive team?

BK has openly proclaimed his dislike of the current NIL structure, along with many donors and other prominent coaches. So BK and boosters shouldn’t give money? Then what? While other teams are “playing the game” LSU goes 3-9, then people like you will be the first to melt. My point is, pouting and doing nothing because you don’t agree with something will get you no where, not just on this subject but with anything in life. But to each is own I guess, goodluck man.

On one hand it’s the fans that hate NIL and transfer portal saying it’s hurting the game.

Ya gotta play with the rules we have, even if you are working to change them.

It’s like people that oppose tax cuts never turn down their own tax cut.

It’s worth it if it means our team that we love has a fighting chance to bring home some hardwear.
