I honestly think its the opposite. The biggest difference from SEC and everyone else is the trenches. SEC linemen dwarf and overpower most teams outside the conference.

size and speed, at all positions, has set the SEC apart from all of the wannabes for decades

I am sensing CBK getting a boner because of the talent he inherited. Notre Dame is just on a different level.

Agree, people tend to only pay attention to what’s going on in their own bubble, I believe he’s got an erection from seeing what he’s got here, just hope he doesn’t develop ED when we start playing conference games and realizes we don’t have that market cornered

Speed never has or never will be a problem at LSU.

That was one of Chip Kelly’s first public comments whenever we played Oregon at Jerry world, he walked past some of our guys as practice times were overlapping and was commenting how huge our football players were compared to his Oregon ducks, it was hilarious.

The fact that you don’t know the answer, proves that you don’t even understand your own damn question…

LSU’s speed remains excellent! Not only at the skilled positions, but among the linemen as well!

But you keep
Wringing your hands and wet’n the bed little girl…

Saban was right about our “Brook Trout” fan base!

A&M’s 2022 Recruiting Class is an excellent example of the old saying: “Pigs get Fat, and Hogs get Slaughtered!” Jumbo and Aggies’ response to the advent of NIL is the definition of arrogance and hubris, and they are going to pay dearly for it. The recent “clarification” and response by the rules committee makes it clear that NIL doesn’t allow a group of school Boosters to just go form a new business entity, donate $30 million to it and go start buying players.

But the bigger problem for them is that now have a roster full of individuals that were willing to go to the highest bidder. Teams, including LSU, have repeatedly seen that those types of individuals rarely have any interest in the team and are often a cancer on a program. Now, A&M has 25-30 freshman of that caliber. Good luck keeping them happy, much less forging them into a team!

As for LSU, our handling of NIL will be just fine. Also, if you honestly believe that our fan base is “poor” your delusional. More importantly, LSU’s fan base, like several other SEC schools, includes many affluent alumni and fans that will and do actually contribute to the program! The fact that some other schools, like USC & ND have a more affluent alumni base is a red herring. They always have! The real issue is that they don’t have very many of those folks who are even season ticket holders or regularly attend games, much less actually cough up money to support their school’s football program!

The sky isn’t falling! The ship has most assuredly been righted, and LSU’s future is very bright!

Already happening at ND. Spending TAMU money on recruits. Meanwhile, LSU still hasn't backed BK like he wants. Quite the turn of events. Looks like he bolted a little too fast.
Maybe he just didn’t want to coach for ND anymore

Money has never been the issue at ND. It’s the academic requirements that have held them back. They are killing it in recruiting right now but it’s June. This isn’t when recruiting rankings matter.

Interesting, because he also said physicality at the line of scrimmage was the issue as well.

The speed that sets LSU/the SEC apart are the multiple DL/LB on the field that can run a 4.6 or better.

Like Georgia's defensive lineman, Jordan Davis, who is 6'6" 340# and ran a 4.78 in the 40 during the NFL combine

Then there is Slip Watkins

Now there’s a reference I never thought I’d see.

I remember Slip running something like a toss sweep, where the direction of the play was away from the student section, and all I could see was him turning it into a 10 yard gain on the other side of the field.
I watched the replay of the game, and the camera on the other side of the field showed that he bobbled the pitch for all but the last few yards of the run, with eyes as big as saucers the whole way.

I think it’s foolish for anyone to disagree with him. However, Notre Dame has put out some pretty good skill players. Other than the offensive line, they appeared to lack both size (and speed at the front 7) compared to the SEC teams played. I’ll give him this, they played Georgia twice as good as any, but they just appeared tiny when they got into the CFB Playoffs.

ND with a black coach and more $ is killing in recruiting.

says 247 bc they have 15 "commits" 6 months before early signing period which includes one 5-star. I'd hold off on saying they're "killing it" until it gets closer to signing day. Also, Frick Ausberry
