Just did a deep dive into BK recruiting history at ND. While he was putting up decent classes. From 2013-2020, he had only about 5/6 5 stars total.
I am not worried about his ability to recruit or get 5 stars especially to LSU, with our history. BUT we have none committed currently *247 rankings*. Which does worry me at least a little, after seeing he did the same at ND.
Should we worry, or are they coming soon?

The state of Indiana does not produce 4 and 5 stars like the state of Louisiana. Recruiting is a lot easier at LSU in Louisiana versus ND in Indiana. Even if ND has the same resources as LSU (they don't) recruiting is easier at LSU.

Dude LSU already has 3 5 stars committed. You need to be looking at the On3 site instead of that shite bias 247

3 is enough. You don't want to have 20 guys in the porthole next year like A&M or bama. We need La guys and the right guys.

i'm not worried about him getting 5*'s all that much. his player development of highly rated 3*\4*'s is way more valuable.

Justin Jefferson holds up 3 fingers and says hello. The star system is an absolute farce and is only for the recruiting nerds. Give me a 3 star, from Louisiana with heart and character over a 5 star from California or wherever any day.

you cannot compare recruiting at ND vs recruiting at LSU....There are way to many variables....like comparing apples to oranges

the star system is not a farce but it is deeply flawed. people need to keep remembering there are only 25 5 stars every year, and only what? 275 4 stars. a 3 star athletic rating means you are a freak athlete, way above the norm. Even 2's make us average Joes look pitiful.
why are all these highly ranked players transferring from schools? they are not getting playing time. if they are so great, why not?
But, the fact is, about half the 5 stars and a fair percentage of 4 stars are athletes that can make a huge difference to your team. You need your share of superstars. While some 3's turn into superstars, your odds aren't as good. you can build a team around these guys, a good team, but to get to the top you've got to have some of those really great players.
Kelly has his system to make the most out of his players, and he's going to get more than his fair share of great players. it's been proven that a good coach can do it at LSU.
