Listening as I type. Please forgive any grammatical errors!
Brian Kelly Press Conference - Aug. 17
-Dellenger had some issues with snapping today. He is now in charge of protections. Not overly concerned. BK is very demanding and will be until the first game
-Dellenger will be fine. Just asking a lot out of him more than just snapping. He's calling the front and making checks. different from going to guard to Center.
-Offensive line is not set. Still opportunity for Cam Wire, Dumervil is coming back from an ankle. Still competing as well as Turner. Those 3 are in the running.
-Saturday they will move that group around. Bradford will move inside and Wire will go to Tackle. Will play the best 5 guys. Emery would be #9 in the rotation
-Colby Richardson had a good day against Boutte today. He put on 20 pounds since coming to LSU. Natural athlete but not physically ready for the SEC. He transformed himself. 167 pounds when he showed up he was around 190.
-QB's distributed the ball well today. Protected themselves. Yesterday they had untimely int's in the red zone. Both did a great job of operating
-Ball came out of Daniels hand very well today with the RPO's. Nuss made great reads off zone read action.
-Like Jarrick Bernard-Converse at corner as well as Mekhi. We have interchangeable pieces there. Freshman showing out as well. Came into camp with uncertainty. We have come a long way going into our 13h practice.
-Jaray Jenkins flashed today. Wishes he would take more of a leadership role. He wants that leadership from him and others. It comes from consistency.
-The kicker battle is on going on. Sounds like Ramos is the favorite right now. Dibert is a young kicker but very talented. It's a little early. Not ready to name a guy yet.
-Cain is getting better everyday. He's starting to come on and playing behind his pads with better vision.
-Major Burns is a smart and savy player. Great communicator and will be involved in what they do because of that. He has the communication skills that BK loves.
-BK coached Walker Howard some today. QB need to be involved. Right now they're installing tons of plays. But game planning they're going to be very specific. Howard will be a signaler.
-Mekhi Garner has been good. Physical player. About the biggest corner you will find. He could paly safety. Great demeanor and character. He is a S.W.A.T. leader.
-We're a very demanding coaching stuff not demeaning. We're not cursing at our players. It's about graduating champions. We're here to win championships
-Evaluating the center position that made him chose Dellenger. he has good lateral ability and size. The days of a small center are over. Big guys are coming across on the nose especially on 3rd down. He matched the criteria and he's 313 pounds. Lots of football smarts. Calling out the fronts.
-BK says that daily it changes who wins the day. Yesterday the defense won with the 2 red zone interceptions. today was more of an offensive day. We evaluate each day and don't think we've arrived.
-Ability for defense to disguise who is coming off the edge and where the pressure is coming from. Put great players out there and that helps a lot.

It's nice to feel like we're getting real info.
"Defense played great, 7 interceptions with 15 sacks, Jennings threw for 250 yards and 4 tds, Harris 410/5, on offense we are doing great things but we did not execute..."

Burns was showing out a little in the bowl game until he got banged up. I was a little surprised at that time. Glad he's very close to getting 100% and hasn't broke stride. We'll need him.
Glad to hear Dellinger is on pace. Reps, reps, reps!! Our new Ethan Pocic... it'll pay off.

Oline not set per BK. Seems like there will be several battles for starting spots over the next few weeks.

Not at 24 unless he has been out of the gym because of injury.

That's all fine, but what does Jordy have to say about things?

Wonder what happen to Martinez on the Oline I thought he would battle for the center or guard this season? Haven't seen his name mentioned at all.

I'll do a dive into it and see what I can come up with
