The questions about the offense were legit then. His reaction seems to be reflective of a guy who was very sensitive about the subject for some reason. I think it’s clear now what the reason was. He knew he didn’t have a way to fix it in the near future…and was trying to make the case that this team would win a different way.

A lit if people thought it was possible to turn it around quickly. In hindsight, that was based in hope.

We’re really tired of hearing the same old tripe after every game. Tell us what you are going to do different to fix it.

By repeating the same excuse time and again about not getting his team ready is basically saying he is in breach of his contract...
Way to go BK...

BK9.9 is making 9.9 a year!

That's 9.9 MILLION A YEAR.

It's his fricking job to HAVE THEM PREPARED and READY!

Yeah that’s baffling to me. Didn’t LaTech basically do the same thing. How were we surprised by that?

I’m sure every team moving forward will basically copy OM’s defensive game plan against us.

I could maybe buy getting caught off-guard in the first quarter or so, but not the second half

I find it interesting that only some of the paid employees are accepting responsibility for the ongoing problems. If there has been weeks of preperation and dedicated prep for a game that yields a plan of action, where is the actual failing? Perhaps this overal picture should be put under a focused microscope. Something is missing and it is not part of the usual excuses we hear all the coaches voice after every poor performance.

I don’t want to hear him speak after a loss. I want change on the field

That doesn't sound like an excuse. It sounds more like an acknowledgement of failure.

You can only "acknowledge failure" without fixing it so many times before they're empty words. We're on year 4 of these types of press conferences, which have happened 3-4 times each year.

It's also made worse by all his sassy little quips and gaslighting when anyone dares to question big bad Brian.

We are all pissed. Not much he could say to make it better. We need a better offense on the field. The words used in a post game interview are insignificant. Just fix the damn problem

I don’t understand this. Let me get this straight. Brian Kelly took this job knowing that we frickin fired our head coach 2 years after he won us a national championship. I mean that should have been a frickin clue that LSU football means more to us down here than 9-4. But not only that, it has been painfully obvious since at least the Tech game that we do not fathom offense. Yet what is it this man is paid to do?

So somehow he has a job making 10 million a year and then his excuse for failing at his job is that he didn’t do his job?? Mr Woodward could pay me 1/10 of Kelly’s salary and I promise I won’t do the job any frickin worse than this and I’m NOT a Brooklyn Yankee!

There is literally nothing he could say that would satisfy the Rant. Words cannot help after a loss. So he does what he very HC does and takes the blame with generalized statements.

Whenever a coach interview comes on the TV or radio, I flip the channel. It’s all lame sanitized coach speak.

Right, but he says this all the time.

Bc it’s a useless interview and it’s the standard uncontroversial line used by all HCs. Most people understand this.

Jacque should man up and ask BK what the Hell did you actually do all week? Because every year we hear this BS excuse for 2-3 games! He gets paid $10M a year for what to be unprepared, not well coached and Lose Games!
That unacceptable!
