Is worse than actually losing the top QB and player in the class. LSU literally quit recruiting QBs after Underwood committed and now have zero options for the future outside of some backup deciding to transfer in.

And please stop with this Collins and Hurley nonsense. Neither of them are capable of or prepared to winning LSU games in the future. The whole idea of Underwood was for him to come in and be the guy after Nuss left this year. You can't pay a coach 10 million a year to be this stupid.

I've never seen a HC allow his program to become so lazy in preparations for the future.

The best comment I've heard on Kelly is that he's ALWAYS reactionary and never proactive. In this era of CFB, you're screwed if you have that mindset.

How do you know he doesn’t? Please provide us some details.

Nuss is coming back. We can get a transfer in the next class or spring portal.

Nuss is not good and will not be better behind a brand new offensive line next year.

Nah, there are times where you have to go all in and take the risk. Underwood was worth doing that for. No one would feel good about a second QB in this class. Their backup plan is Hurley and Collins.

He flipped less than 24 hours ago. You expect another QB to see that and go yep ok now I’m coming to LSU?

You don’t know what a plan b is or isn’t.

How exactly does that work? It’s a position that you only take one player per cycle. Do you think a top flight qb was going to sit around hoping Underwood flops from LSU so that he can have his spot? Nobody worth a damn was even looking LSU’s direction as long as Underwood was committed.

Yeah, I guess there's no way that he can get a QB out of the portal.

LSU can never get a Heisman Trophy winning QB from the portal.

Brian Kelly was never going to bench Nuss for Underwood. As far as next year is concerned, nothing has changed.

I never said anyone wanted him back. I’m just telling you what’s going to happen. Nuss is our QB next season and was going to be whether Underwood was here or not.

What have you witnessed from BK that tells you he prepares well for anything? Give me some examples of how he has prepares this program for success weekly? Forget longterm for a moment.

Any QB that they would’ve recruited that would have still been available this late in the recruiting season likely would’ve been a worse prospect than Collins or Hurley.

They went all in on the #1 recruit and got burned. It is what it is.

Nobody will ever know if Collins and Hurley can play unless they both get live game reps. Who's to say Underwood can play? Michigan HS football isn't setting the world on fire like Texas , Florida or LA. Lsu should hit the portal hard.

Do you think NCAA should implement some rule on communications during recruiting such that recruits cannot just lie about their intentions? Not sure how you'd enforce that or what that would be specifically. But I'm more aggravated with recruits and their handlers continuing to make statements about intentions that are clearly dishonest. Sure, it has always happened but now there's money involved.

He was going to let an 8 million dollar run capable QB sit on the bench while Nuss struggled behind a new OL? Sounds like poor coaching.

I'm not sure that's true - and I'll add that I am sure that's not a certainty. I've seen lower rated QB prospects have pretty good success at this level.

You do know before Hurley reclassified he was going to be the ‘25 qb pick? You say he’s not ready but BU was ready to com in play right away? If he was he’s about to show it at Michigan and if he don’t win there then what?
