Does Joe need a history lesson? Great he carried a football.

70s union stuff in BR was terrorist level bullshite and he was in the middle of it as one of their street thugs. And a convicted counterfeiter.

Everyone second chances, ok, blah, blah. But don't put a statue up of the man. His numbers retried. Please leave it at that. Embarrassing.

And PS. Some of your biggest swinging donors feared for their families lives in the union shite he was a part of. Better think about that.

I agree. No statue of a convicted felon.

Oh really but ESPN can flaunt Ray Lewis all over the place and that's okay?

I was waiting for this.

The College Football Hall of Fame inducted him and he was not stripped of his Heisman. Deal with the statue. It's happening.

You guys really need to learn to separate the athlete from the person. He is getting a statue for his greatness on the field not because of his life off the field.

A) WTF does that have to do with LSU and Billy Cannon

B) Who is proposing putting up a statue of Lewis ETA : at LSU for all the Greg Brady's out there.

C) what was Lewis convicted of?

You know the story I'm not repeating it. Was OJ convicted? Was he guilty? Figure it out.

Again has nothing to do with LSU and totally different

That's why it's fine that he's in the CFB HOF and has his jersey retired those are for his accomplishments before his crimes. OJ hasn't been stripped of his Heisman or thrown out of the HOF either but I don't think USC should build a statue of him

So everyone accused of a crime is guilty is that how it works? There was mountains of evidence against OJ and he is currently in prison for a different felony. Do you have some info about Ray Lewis that I'm unaware of?
No one is proposing building a statue of Ray Lewis or OJ at LSU and even Miami or USC as far as I know. Based on your standard of someone else somewhere has an accused criminal on TV therefore it is OK for everyone else to put up statues of whoever they want then Penn State should put the Paterno statue back up right?

Yeah, I would say the circumstances are a tad different with OJ.

Penn St. took down Joe Paterno and he was never officially accused of anything.

In my opinion, statues should be reserved for those that are truly great on and off the field. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but that's my opinion.
