I say yes! and yay! to the statue. Knuckleballer you've proven you don't anything about some union thing in the '70s, and now someone else is alluding to blowing up the state capitol? We all know that a bomb did go off there, but to suggest that Billy Cannon had anything to do with that is pure slander. If you read his book, it's clear that the man was no saint. But a bomber? No way!

In my opinion, his football exploits made him a hero. His off the field exploits did tarnish his image, but a hero he still remains.

Obviously LSU thinks so too. His picture wouldn't be all of the place there if they thought otherwise.
