Just wanted to start this thread to prove a point. Bill O’Brien has been targeted by Scott. Bill O’Brien will get the Schiano reaction. Our fan base will pressure Woody to not get who he wants. I just hope he doesn’t cave to the idiots like Tennessee did. Good luck boys and sorry about your Texans.

We’ve settled for years. Between Orgeron and the coordinators.
Obviously we want a big name, with success, but who knows who will be available and/or willing.
Jumping at Bill O’Brien, the first name, would be a mistake. IMO

Hiring a Saban assistant pretty much guarantees a loss to Bama every time. Right now we beat them every once in a while

I’m obviously opposed to the hire… he’ll never win a conference championship or national title in college as HC, here or anywhere.
But I will say this…if Woodward is seriously looking at him, it means Woodward expects some serious NCAA sanctions and restrictions are incoming for the program. That’s the only reason a major elite school would consider BOB, to be the stop-gap between restrictions and the future.
In other words, if that’s the case and I certainly hope it’s not, we’re going to be at a talent disadvantage for a couple years so find someone that can weather the storm with X’s and O’s until the storm clears and normal operations can resume. That’s kind of depressing to think about, but that’s the only reason LSU would ever consider BOB.

I totally agree with you that fanbases shouldnt dictate or have an influence on hires. Tennessee is a great example… they would have been much better off long-term if the Schiano hire would have happened.
That said, what do you think Alabama fans would say about BOB being the coach-in-waiting for Saban?

A video obtained by TMZ Sports has emerged of Texans head football coach spewing expletive-filled insults towards an irate fan back in the tunnel during the game.
The video takes place at halftime in what would eventually be the 14-point loss to the Broncos. Interestingly enough, the shouting match occurred in the Texans home stadium, in a game which the team trailed 31-3 at the end of the second quarter. It’s unknown if this was a Texans or Broncos fan on the receiving end of O’Brien’s anger-filled rant, but there’s an obvious reason to believe the home fanbase wasn’t thrilled at this point.
In the video, Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson can be seen looking back at the fan, while wideout DeAndre Hopkins physically restrains the coach, escorting him into the locker room with the rest of the team.

I remember you in the last coaching search. You (and I as well) wanted Jimbo and Herman. Jimbo will never come close to a NC again and Herman will never win one.
Just let the AD do his job dude. He’s the one talking to these coaches. Just let the search happen.

so many daily clips on the Houston news of local reporters asking softball questions and BOB rolling his eyes and giving sarcastic answers or getting aggravated and treating everyone like he is being put out suffering these fools
