Great story.
I know Charlie Baglio a little bit. He is quite a character. I can just picture that happening.

That has to be one of the funnier stories I've heard. I know folks fortunate enough to have been able to go and occasionally I hear a story...nothing. absolutely nothing compares to that 78 yo near death experience while everyone else could only stand, watch then ultimately laugh. Terrific

That staff will go down as history as one of the biggest head scratchers in SEC history.

After watching on Sundays I am convinced I could have been on that staff with 0 days of football coaching experience at the college level and the result would have been the same.

Have known Bags my whole life. He is the reason my user name is Charlie Bags. Played football and baseball for him in high school. He is certainly a character.

Busch says he’s a Cajun. He’s an Italian from Independence, LA.

OKCC was a dying club. As I understand it, recently the course management has been assumed by a company that oversees courses throughout the country. Investors are involved now injecting money to rehab the club. It has seen incremental progress, and I know the club has had a push to solicit new membership at various levels of participation. I hope it happens. It’s nice to have a club in Hammond, and it would be good for the area.

Not to derail the Bags thread. That’s an unbelievable story. Can’t believe it hasn’t come out before.

He told me he was sitting in his office one evening and Saban starts yelling for him…Bags,Bags!!!! So he gets nervous and hustles to see the issue. Saban just wanted a dip.
He said he was leaving and thinking to himself, I’m a grown man and doing this for fun at this point in my life, and I’m scared to death of that SOB.

Funny story about Coach Bags: many years ago he was in a casino in either Vegas or Atlantic City and was heavily under the influence. He stumbled back to his room and told his wife he had lost all of his money. So his wife started doing some investigating and discovered that he actually had "credit" at many different tables so they totaled it up and found out he had won close to $180K. They cashed in, sobered Bags up and got the hell out.
