Biggest embarrasment for an LSU fan
my biggest embarrasment is how a vast majority of LSU fans still kiss Alabama's Nick Saban's butt.

This thread is a prime example of ignorance.
most of the thread is about games in the 2000's. a lot is about miles vs saban. imagine that! the only thing anyone in support of not liking miles can see is the present.
the title of the thread is embarrasment for an lsu fan.
I can think of many things a lot more embarrassing for an lsu fan than any game over the last 10 years.
It was very embarrassing to be a fan under the joe dean tenure. Not one improvement to any of the athletic buildings or their grounds. as a fan it was embarrassing to see the program you support have the worst maintained grounds, facilities, and low rent coaches running most of your programs.
The shutting down of 1/2 the bathrooms in tiger stadium. the broken window's on tiger stadium. the roof deteroiorating on the p mack. the hiring and keeping john brady. the hiring of curley hallman and gerry dinardo. (not because of their failure, because the program had to go to vandy and southern miss to find a coach. the reason, didn't want to spend money. wanted a champagne coach on a beer salary).
if you want embarrasing games, one brain fart to lose a game doesn't even compare to a game you can't even compete in. getting destroyed by ole miss, miss st., au, florida, bama, a & m ect. you're center hiking the football over the punters head, field goal kickers head, kids purposely fumbling forward out of bounds to gain a yard, looking like college football follies, having to leave at the 1/2 because your team is down by 30 pts or more to the rebs or bulldogs, tubby and spurrier faking fg's, punts, going on fourth down and scoring t.d.'s then laughing at your team. that's embarassing games. these all happened under stoval, archer, hallman, and dinardo. anything les miles has done to this point can't even compare.
This. All day long. This is mostly another Miles-bashing thread covered with a thin-layer of nostalgia to gloss it over. Nothing and I mean nothing compares to the overall embarrasment I felt as a fan in the 80's and 90's during the Archer, Stovall, Hallman days. We didn't even show up for some games. Totally non-competitive. Embarrasment doesn't even begin to describe some of the games from that era.

Yeah Bill Arnsparger what the hell does he know about football right? He won an SEC championship. Archer too.
Arnsparger would have fired Saban - alledged DB
coach, who gave it up like a whore to Florida in both 2000 & 2001...1,100+ yards..fricking embarassing.
Lou Tepper never gave up that much to Florida!
ETA: Lou Tepper was a terrible coach. A few people apparently didn't understand that I meant that in the last sentence.

Purposefully left out the Arnsbarger years...it was most of the stuff surrounding that. The Fla. beatdowns...the Tenn beatdown....the Auburn int. game. Only in that era did I sit in Tiger Stadium at the BEGINNING of a game with only 60,000+ people. The painful moments were awful and often. Some of the other embarrasing moments I remember most were under the Saban regime. UAB, Alabama, Fla. some awful games. I'm not a huge Miles supporter, but being objective, only a very few embarrasing moments have come from Les. People are either young or have an agenda.

Lou Tepper never gave up that much to Florida!

Sandwich, Tepper is the fricking coach at IUP
MOTHERfrickING IUP
Saban, just this past January, was the coach of a Bama squad that won a BCS title game against Texas out in California.
You're coming up short in an effort to make Saban out to be a weak coach.

3rd season at LSU went....8-5

we did win a sec title in 01 by the way.

I witnessed both games in person, btw...
Kelley Washington (3rd string WR for the Vols behind Stallworth and Parker) 256 yard, 11 reception game at Neyland in 2001
Shaun Alexander (Backup RB for Alabama) 296 Rushing yards in Tiger Stadium 1996
What say you Tiger fans?
I say... You have a lot of nerve coming onto a blog like that starting shite being a self-professed fan of a team that will recieve NCAA santctions because your coaches can't count
How about keep it within 2 TDs this year with Ohio State ? The BuckEyes are wearing Michigan's arse out for the past decade and LSU has spanked OSUs arse for 2 NC's.
go away dude.

how many s.e.c. losses did we have? i say this because miles gets blasted for having 2 losses and winning the n.c. in 2007. he actually had less losses in the s.e.c. his first three years than saban did in 2001 with an s.e.c. title. we had three losses in the s.e.c. last year w/o a title. go figure.
if you're fortunate enough for the rest of the s.e.c. to be down you can win a title with three s.e.c. losses and your a great coach. however, if you lose 3 s.e.c. games or less for four out of five years, your a dumb arse. funny how that works. one it's coaching and skill the other is luck.

am I the only one to suggest Florida 1993?
58-3 at home on ESPN.
As for people saying the fans, when LSU fans rocked the Tenn bus in 2005, we looked like trashy sore losers. But generally I am not ashamed of our fans.
