Unlike with Ed O I feel like we can actually improve. People need to relax and settle in. We are the only team to play a top 10 opponent week 1. We will get better and it wouldn’t surprise me for us to win the west again. Bama and A&M will be our challenges. We can get it done

I said the same thing.

I’m not trying to read too much into that but I didn’t like seeing that at all.

The lack of adjustments was surprising as well. Just stick to what’s not working. Reminds me of 1/9 and I don’t like saying that.

Nothing against the kid and I’m still in his corner but we were told how far Daniels had progressed and he didn’t progress.

I didn’t like the play calling, I don’t like them using a talent like Perkins in coverage, special teams still has issues, the defense evaporated in the second half (I’m looking at the coaches here).

Very disappointing all around.

We’ll win the next game (no disrespect to Grambling) so I’m not expecting to see many changes but from what I saw, there are a lot of issues that need to be fixed and in a hurry. SEC play starts in two weeks.

I’m not hitting the panic button but there’s a lot of work to be done.

The offense didn’t look creative because the qb couldn’t execute the plays….

It's not this simple. Daniels had something to do with that but it wasn't entirely on him.

The OL was getting thrown around, there were barely any lanes for any RBs to run through because of FSU anticipating Daniels to take off running. Basically they crowded the box and were ready to tackle either him or someone that was going to run. Essentially daring Daniels to throw deep. Which didn't happen (at least consistently).

The coaches didn't help matters by continuing to call the same plays in the second half. All the dropped passes didn't help. The team needed a spark and the coaches could have at least tried something different but they didn't. I'm not saying Nuss is the answer but it would've made FSU at least respect the deep pass which could've potentially helped our running game because you don't have so many people crowding the line of scrimmage. Instead, the coaches stuck with what wasn't working.

In the second half, FSU adjusted went to a two back set and LSU had no answer for it.

Let Perkins go back outside because he wasn't himself inside

Agreed. He's one of the best defensive players in the country. Use him where he's comfortable and used to playing and he can be most effective.

We hardly heard his name last night.

Everyone blaming daniels. He hit lacy in the numbers with one throw and there was a path to the endzone. and he hit Thomas for about a 40 yarder that thomas dropped. Both would have kept drives going.

I think I counted 5 drops. 2 had potential to become TDs. Daniels play is lower on the priority list for me.

I can't say I'm disappointed with Kyren Lacy. He's arse and trash arse players do trash shite on the field. He can't help it.

You have to wonder if he’s even had any snaps out there this summer.

And who would step in behind him? Have they had any snaps at middle?

They might be reluctant to make the change. Then add in a little hubris. They will try to make it work before they admit their mistake.

Coaching was the biggest surprise. Our coaches looked absolutely lost

And they may have been. Maybe FSU threw something at them they weren’t expecting.

Daniels threw a 75 yard TD pass during trash time with the second string defense on the field, that was a short throw to a wide open man taken to the house. Take that one away from him and his actual numbers are less than impressive: less than 300 yards, 7 yards per completion, zero TDs, and 1 INT. He wasn’t the biggest problem, but he has shown that he is still a big liability as a passer.

QB above all else because of its importance to success. That is, of course, on our pig headed HC who is beginning to remind of Les.

Not one single true national contender has average quarterback play and no running game. Daniels is a below average passer. I think he probably looks great in practice against our secondary.

Oline. Supposed to be a strength of this team and looked like they hadn’t improved at all. I think our inability to run the ball really hindered our offensive gameplan.

Pass rush was extremely disappointing as well. Combination of our edges not being talented enough and not using Perkins to his strengths. We knew the issues with our secondary, but I thought we could hide some of that with our pass rush.
