Big game in Tiger Park this Friday - Who you got?

Looking at the rosters I think I am going with Team Moscona. They look to have some very good former baseball players. Both teams will have some homerun power playing. And Team Moscona has the BEST COACH on the LSU campus coaching them.

Forgot to point out that Jason Williams of Team Moscona is being inducted into the LSU Hall of Fame in October.

Williams helped lead LSU to two NCAA College World Series titles in 1993 (at third base) and 1996 (at shortstop). He was also the starting shortstop for the 1996 United States Olympic team, which earned a bronze medal in Atlanta.
Twenty-three years after his collegiate playing career has ended, Williams is still the all-time SEC leader in runs scored with 270, and he finished his LSU eligibility as the Tigers’ all-time leader in games played (266), at-bats (1,019) and walks received (164). Williams, who is No. 4 on the LSU career list for base hits with 327, received All-America recognition in 1995 and 1996.

The @RedRockAndBlue organization is extremely thankful for @BethTorina and #LSU. Coach Torina was very encouraging and helpful about rescheduling The Celebrity/Sorta Celebrity Softball Game after the storm, not cancelling it. Many people would not have that attitude!

Outside of maybe one or two last second emergencies, EVERYONE who said they would participate in the rescheduled @RedRockAndBlue Celebrity/Sorta Celebrity Softball Game showed up. We're talking 40 commitments or so. No "ghosting".

Team Doucet lost convincingly, but the Louisiana military charities won.

Moscona posted a video to Facebook from after the game and he was talking to several players. In one part there was an older black gentleman, pretty tall, that walked by and Moscona asked him a question about his son and he started talking about him choosing to go to Bama and that he had wanted him to choose LSU. Must be a defensive player b/c he said something about having several tackles in a scrimmage or the spring game after coming back from injury. Then Moscona asked him who is going to win the LSU/Bama game and he said “LSU” as he walked off.
