I like how it's portrayed that some fans need to get over Miles being gone and get behind the current regime, yet it's the people that hate Miles that keep bringing him up.
I don't know if that is the case in the OP. If he has an axe to grind or not, but CLM was coach at LSU for a long time. Any comparisons to the new coach and staff are being made against the last coach and staff. If someone thinks LSU is doing something better this year they aren't going to compare to DiNardo and his staff. That wouldn't make sense.
If I get a new car and it is the same brand and model as my last but just newer and I am showing it to someone I will compare the two cars. I will point out the things the new car has that the old one didn't. What I may like better about the new car or what I don't like about it compared to the old one.
It's not because I hated the old car, if I had I wouldn't have bought the same brand again. When you have a coach for what, 12 years?, and get a new one you're going to tend to compare him to the previous staff.

I think O's biggest asset so far is his humility and his self-awareness. He knows his limitations. That kind of freaks me out, because that's an amazing level of personal growth since Ole Miss. I'm very impressed with how he handles things .

While I like what I see from O so far, I think he is overly critical of Etling with no sense of confidence to balance it out.

Miles had as many kickers on a chilly as LB's. And still not a good luck off guy. Another fail by our old village idiot

You talking about his big game comment?

Watching in the stands, it seemed like a lot of the problems we had on kickoffs came from #51(Rucker I think his name is) being knocked off his spot and out of sync.
He seemed to be about 3-5 yards behind the rest of the coverage team and then would be knocked into the next running lane on contact.
This creates 2 problems, first is the horizontal lane created by not being fast enough to keep up with his fellow coverage mates and second is the vertical lane from not being able to hold his ground.
I would not be surprised to see 51 removed from the kickoff unit.
I'd like to state that I'm not bashing the kid, what he has done going from a walk on to part of the 2 deep rotation is nothing short of amazing. The coaches love him and I bet it's a testament of his attitude abd work ethic. Unfortunately for him, God didn't bless him with the athletic ability to match.

It's truly amazing a major program can not find a kicker to kick every kickoff into the end zone.
Why? Bama can't find a FG kicker.

One you can't understand what he's saying, the other you can't understand what he's saying.
Yeah. Because being able to make out the words Les was saying really helped when the sentences he said made NO frickING SENSE WHATSOEVER!

except miles did this too it was just deemed not taking responsibility.
I think he did this once after his bonehead loss at OM that year when JJ spiked it on the 1yard line.
Speaking of, I'm sure O would have just kept giving Jordan Jefferson chance, after chance, after chance....just like Miles right?!?
Yeah right

Coach O didn't do anything special. But he did everything we've been begging Miles to do for years.
-stay away from the play calling. Let the coordinators do their jobs.
-stop the corner kicks.
-get the backup qb some experience in garbage time.
If Miles had done those 3 things, he'd still be coaching.

Coach O can actually talk, make himself understood, and he is also a good coach. Less Miles can't talk, no one can understand him, and he is a very mediocre coach. Both of them are high character guys. That's it in a nut shell.

I agree. Let the hatred for Miles go! He did a great job for us, but he simply stayed too long! It happens! I wish O the best and I hope he's the guy to lead us to another NC, but it's time to let the Miles hate go!
I don’t hate Les Miles, but I can appreciate what he did the first half of his tenure at LSU, and still be frustrated as hell at his lying and subborness his last three seasons. He got paid a lot of money, and with that comes criticism.
I and others can also do this while maintaining a wait and see attitude on Orgeron. There is no rule, as much as some of you want there to be, that says you can’t dislike or have reservations about one of them without fawning all over the other. Damn.

It's only throwing players under the bus if you lose moron. When you win, you have to find the problem areas and make sure the team improves in those areas. If you go out there and say we don't need to change a thing, we dominated the football game, then those players might get the wrong message, and think these things come easy. We did our work in the offseason and now we can just coast, then you will be disappointed later on.
O never threw people under the bus in a loss. He actually takes responsibility then points out that it's a team effort in the loss. You people will just never understand what it takes to be a great HC. You don't have to know rocket science or look like a mathematician, you simply have to have the attention of your players, they have to want to work for you, and do what ever it takes to make the entire team more successful.
Coach O can do that. Don't ask me how or why he can, but he can with LSU for certain. It's evident that he's got the full support of his football team, they all believe in him and take his word as gospel. You idiot fans don't have to. You can stop watching the Tigers as they become dominant under the coach you can't stand, that's fine, because as long as he's winning, and provides LSU with a technically sound football team, then we'll replace the O haters with other youngsters who grow up watching the great LSU Tiger teams of new. Keep hating because your fueling the new LSU football and it's real fans, who support the Tigers no matter what.
The decision was made a long time ago to replace Miles with our DL coach Ed Orgeron and this LSU team, so for, is responding in a positive fashion. This should make any fan of LSU proud no matter your previous feelings, until those results change and change negetively in a consistent form. Until then STTDB. GT

Ok dumb dumb... believe what u want but since he's taken over I've seen O reenergize a program that was in seriously trouble imo. The wheels were coming off. Thank god alleva pulled the plug when he did or it would've been a disaster. The only game we've looked bad in under O was the UF game. Bama imo wasn't a fair fight with no permanent OC and a qb who was hurt. But we hung with em anyway. But forget the interim stint. Looking from the Louisville Win till now and we look like a very very good program. We signed one of the best freshman classes in forever imo.. we have one of the best staffs and we came out looking like a well oiled machine Saturday. You should feel good where Lsu is right now.
