This is an example of a fine piece of work from June 2nd last season. JUNE 2nd… I give you “ramchallenge” of the dumbass class. I believe Dickinson broke his hand in the first game against them. He was LSUs best hitter down the stretch to that point - really surging.

This group is made up of a bunch of recruits who are of the "I and me" concept... there's never been any player leadership that I witnessed, to bring the players together, and no rah rah bench that I see in most all other teams. Could be partly because JJ sits proven leaders from past teams like Josh P. I blame a lot of the lack of player cohesiveness on JJ.

Nope - won and advanced.
The same reason for the collapse after the Alabama football game several years in a row. A football mentality to every sport.
I mean, that was classic - win the title a couple weeks later. Probably SCe series or SEC tourney.

Imagine this board's reaction to everything that has happened this season if Ethan Frey and Casan Evans don't lead the comeback from down 5-1 in that regional final

I’m guessing it is YOUR ALTER because you’re no different and only a troll.
When EXACTLY was LSU on the verge of elimination to them? 27 outs you troll.
But to answer your question, that thread was started after beating Arky LR before the West Virginia series - which LSU SWEPT.

Go back to your swamp troll.

27 outs. I can pull up COUNTLESS more dire situations in regionals, Supers and CWS where LsU was on both sides.
People forget Paul Casey taking Ben deep or the GOAT Team EVER AT LSU getting eliminated in 1999. Yet Skip is the GOAT.
So many comebacks MUCH MUCH later in games. that game doesn’t make the Top 10 for comebacks when it mattered most.

Don't forget to leave out the responses:

one of the players said last year that the team didn't have much of a team aspect. Johnson proceeded to bring in another bunch of mercenaries.

everybody thinks Tanks and Skenes won that CWS. it wasn't. it was Pearson, Dugas, Beloso, Milazzo, Morgan, etc.

Louisiana kids who are gonna die for the uniform. I'm not saying transfers aren't important but way too much of the team is transfers every year.
I hated those "mercenaries" like Danny Dickinson who came here to play SS but took 2B and played through a broken hand, Anthony Eyanson who closed out a regional 3 days after throwing 100 pitches, Michael Brasswell who played perfect defense despite being a black hole at the plate, Chris Stanfield who transferred here to hit in the 9 hole, or Zac Cowan who transferred in to take a smaller role in the bullpen. Don't even get me started on that immigrant Luis Hernandez.

Then those scrappy Louisiana boys like Derek Curiel, Steven Milam, Chase Shores, Casan Evans and Jared Jones.

Yeah, Frey, Brown, and Anderson were awesome. But we had dogs from all over the world, all walks of life, and all ages.

I'm not saying how bad it was in comparison to previous season. Just goes to show you how fine the margins are to winning a CWS or having a colossal regional failure against the worst team in the field.

Credit to Jay, he navigated through the potential embarrassment last season and turned in one of the best results in LSU history.

So am I to understand that JJ should have played Josh Pearson more because he was an upper classman and not because he was a better player then Curiel or Brown last season.

JJ has a responsibility to 34 other players on the team. Pearson took it like a man, im sure it sucked , but they won and he got a 2nd NC.
