What happened yesterday was inexcusable. He can be eclectic, that would be ok with me. I'm hedging that he can do better than a consistent .500 conference record every season and that he can run rule a Div1 4 seeded opponent at home

It’s life. When she was younger and without kids she could go personally recruit a lot more. Now she doesn’t have the time, plus trying to be the pitching coach, run the offense, be a wife and mother to 3 kids. You can’t do all those 100%. Something will suffer.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I will be talking to someone who really knows next week.
But, we won't have to worry about that. Conn is a bad team and should have been a 4 seed at best in this regional.
Of what I've been told. Softball is more of a "leisurely" sport with the higher ups. As long as LSU is ranked every year, they don't feel there is a need for a change.

Its status is similar to WBB. Actually maybe a little higher status, as LSU has been high profile in softball nationally for about as long as the baseball team.
Beth Torina is a mirror image of Nikki Fargas. Year after tiresome year of pure mediocreness for the team, with little or no hope of improvement. We're LSU, and we can do better

Of what I know right now, and this is only my opinion, if LSU wins this afternoon against Conn., she's safe, regardless if she loses tonight or tomorrow.
If LSU loses to Conn., I think there is a chance she gets "re-assigned" somewhere in the Athletic Department. I'll leave it at that right now.

She can be replaced. I have zero clue about the softball world and how much money it would take to attract a new coach. $455K per year is not a lot of money.

There is also the chance that Southeastern puts both losses on LSU for the regional. That could be a book closer as well

They blanked UConn, and are already getting jammed up by SLU in the 1st inning of the elimination game. If the Lions bounce us out, pack Beth up.

The Southeastern Baseball Coach makes how much? Maybe $125,000? Maybe? Probably less. He beat Clemson last year I think. Fremin needs a new job.
