He's going to be kicking himself in the arse for years down the road once he matures and changes and realizes what he lost. It probably hasn't set in yet.
But I agree with your post.

i have no sympathy for this kid.

This is just sad on so many levels. Some things are bigger than football man.
I loved him just as much as the next guy, but I don't have any sympathy for him either. Yes there are things that are bigger than football, but getting high isn't worth screwing up your future, and football was his future. Not that I'm saying smoking pot is a terrible thing, but that's not the point. The point is it was against the rules and he broke them because of his selfishness.
I know he had a tough up-bringing, and he's still young, yadda, yadda, yadda...
It doesn't matter how tough your upbringing was. The guy is what 22-23 years old? Old enough to realize how much he has to lose. Don't make excuses for the guy.
I honestly believe he thought he could get away with anything because his head was so big. I have no sympathy for cocky people. So yall can kiss his a$$ and lick his balls farewell, but I'm not.
I do wish him well and hope he matures at some point in his life, but sympathy is the last thing I have for him right now.

Agreed.
I think my favorite highlight or play was that strip against Arkansas near the end. That showed what he was about on the field. The game was over and he played a huge role already. Didn't matter. He wanted to humiliate them and he wanted to score. No mercy. I loved that about the guy, the passion for the game.

You'd like to think that he made it so far, why couldn't he just hang tough until after this season and then declare and go to the NFL? But maybe he really is at-risk and if he doesn't change course now, he's on a road to big-time destruction. Perhaps this is best in the long run.

He was pure entertainment, but like Icarus, he dared to fly too close to the sun, and down in flames he went. Wish him the best. He can recover from this.

I'm pulling for him. If he was a bad guy, I wouldn't be.

I was wondering how long it would take for a tweet to come out. I was also wondering if he was going to wish an apology to his teammates, coaches, and fans. Guess not.

he already did, on his facebook. As heart-breaking as it is for him, he is trying to be classy. why can't you?

That's good to hear. I'm not trying to be arse, I really was wondering if he had issued an apology.

Great post.
We all have made choices that certainly didn't work out in our favor, however, it was those choices that we learned the best lessions in life from.

TM7..thanks for the memories, only I wish there were more to come. I pray that you get your act together, and that you make the Tiger Nation proud of you in the future.

It's just starting to hit me how bad this sucks. I respect Les for what he did, but Tyrann was the face of the team and always kept you on your toes.
Fun player to watch!
He made some mistakes but I wish him the best.
Exactly how I feel.

Bought a Honey Badger with my kids while on vacation in Colorado last month. As a family we joked around about how good TM7 would be for LSU this year and how excited we were for the return of football, inventing scenario's of how he would strip the ball and run it home for a TD against rival SEC teams. This is heart breaking news on so many levels especially for the young kids who bought in hook line and sinker to the HB Meme. I wish him the best but I hope he realizes the effect this has on the younger fans in particular. It really does suck!
