Curiel reminds me of young Soto. I think he’s a better fielder and faster (less power) but the approach is the exact same. Curiel could be a 1:1 pick when his time comes

but he had 3 multi hit games out of the previous 4 games prior to the 0-fer

this would seem to indicate he was not "pressing" and that the local expert in body language is just imagining things.

Yeah I’ve watched ever bat of every game. He’s never once looked like he was pressing. Ever

Going 1-4 multiple games and then finally going 0fer and then 4-4 the very next day actually PROVES my case.

Correlation does not establish causation.

Of all people, a body language expert would know this.

I'm pretty sure Curiel said in an interview after the Sunday game that someone had to tell him about the on base streak because he wasn't aware.

Definitely pressing.

If he can continue to put weight on and gain strength to improve the power in his bat hes going to be extremely special the next few years.

the whole team hitting after a week+ of being in a funk proves it wasn’t just Curiel and the streak.

it’s that hitting and slumping in baseball seem to be contagious at times.

Went to BP today with my son. Got a field level view.Watched Curiel take bunting practice is amazing. He is so effortless at it where other guys are pressing. Hitting for him looks errorless as well.

Reminds me of watching Skenes throw 98 mph with little effort. These guys are just on a different planet talent wise. Derek will be top 3 all time player by his time is over at lSU.
