I mean the obvious answer in Griffin Herring, but it looks like they are keeping him in the bullpen to try to secure any win they can. Besides him, I don't know that there is a best option.

You managed to misspell both "Millas" and "choked" in your screen name.

Anderson should have been given a shot weeks ago. His usage has been very very poor

I know he hasn't had the best outings in SEC out of the bullpen, but I'd still like to see Kade Anderson as the Sunday starter.

Hell, if the season continues on this nose dive and post season becomes a pipe dream, give Cam a shot on a Sunday.

I'd be happy if Ack could do it and be consistent. Hurd would be fine if you pull him after about 4 innings. In the state game, he gave up 3 runs through 4 innings and the wheels fell off in the 5th. He shut out Florida through 4 and the wheels fell off in the 5th. The problem is leaving Hurd in for too long.

It's not so much about game three starter as it is about winning series
You have to do whatever it takes to win series and worry about game three when you get there

If you have opportunities to win game 1 and 2 you use anyone and everyone to get that done

Maybe a combo of Ackenhausen and Anderson like we’ve been doing with Holman and Herring.

Agree, that’s who it should be. Hopefully Jays dumbass will stop brining him out of the pen.

For this weekend, I would stick with Ack unless you need him to try to win game 1 or 2. I know he hasnt had a great year but I still think he's good and his performance last week was ok.

I don't care to see Hurd again, so Anderson would be my next choice.

If Ackerman isn’t used, him.

You use Moffet and Johnson in key situations on Fri after Herring.

Then you hope Holman gets you through 6. Not sure how but you have to piece it together with someone other than Ack.

If you end up needing Ack on Fri or Sat, it really almost doesn’t matter. Whoever it is will be unproven and will certainly be on a short leash.

I thought Ackenausen did the best for limited time. His problem is stretching his performance to 5-6 innings will take time. But he was really good.

I don't know that your game 3 starter really matters. You're just trying to get 2 innings or so out of them anyway.

If you haven't won the first two games already, what's the likelihood of you're remaining pitchers getting a w.

Probably Anderson, but idk.

I said this a month ago and got downvoted

But, it's true. We've had 1 relatively competitive game 3, lost them all, got run-ruled 3 times. There's no point in holding anyone back for Sunday. If we had taken that approach, we likely win the Florida and Vandy series, and the season is completely different (we'd be wondering how we can win a 3rd game in a regional, etc).

And really, with the Super Regionals set up as a best of 3, if you could get through a regional, you play to win the first 2 in the Supers to reach Omaha too.

If you have to pitch a couple reserve outfielders on Sunday, is it really any worse? I'd say if you took the series in game 2, it would be worth it.
