Head and shoulders Trent Richardson. The other 3 are products of the spread offense. Richardson is more talented than the others combined.

One important question for the Oregon fans on this board / reading this thread:

Have you noticed that you're comparing LSU's performance against elite competition versus Oregon's performance against what might have been the second weakest conference in the BCS, that i believe nearly half your teams were .500 teams?

Look at how the Pac-10 fared agains bowl teams. In particular, look at their defensive rushing totals against the respective opponents rushing average. Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Georgia, et al. were not world beaters. Sorry, but USC was inelible but eligible by record and ASU would've been a bowl eligble team had the FBS opponent on pulled out of their game at least minute. The gap is not as large as you would like to admit.

Auburn was your champion and they needed a last minute field goal to win. We were close to losing to a very talented but schizo Cal team (who by the way made life much tougher on offense) and ASU could've easily won if they decided to give up 7 turnovers.

It was a strong conference.

Lol, but nothing. Cheating caught up with them and Slippery Pete got the F out of Dodge while the gittin' was good. That's like saying Auburn was good last year.

You're framing the NC game very ignorantly. Auburn did "need a list second field goal" only because Oregon (whom only scored 11 points in the first 3.7 quarters of the game against the 4th or 5th best defense in the sec) got a pick block from an official and a breakaway.

Auburn could have easily scored a TD at the end, but the chose to kick a field goal. Also, don't you find it odd that auburn does nothing but run the ball the entire second half, and the second they need to score again, they turn it back on and score ... quite easily as a matter of fact.

And dude, do not talk to me about bowl games. Your conference sends 5 teams at best, and most of them have freaking CAKE match ups. Compare the match ups. How many bowl games does pac 10 team play against top 15 teams? It doesn't really matter. Im very happy this game is happening. I won't have to hear your fans BS the country about a point a minute (versus highschool defenses) b/c y ou'll get embarrased during the first game. Book it.

First off, the kids playing for USC now didn't cheat. However, the should be ineligible but they were a team that Oregon had to beat nonetheless.

Also, Auburn tried to sneak the ball and couldn't get it in. Oregon stuffed "slam" Newtwon. They would've had to gamble 4th down and that didn't go so well earlier in the game.

As for the pick play...what ifs, dude. Oregon got a phantom call that led directly to LSU points and it evens out over the course of the game. There was a shoe string tackle on Tuinei, Dyer could've been down as easily as up, etc., etc., etc. We could play the game all day long.

Give credit where credit is due. That game was a battle.

Also, the Pac played Okie State, Nebraska, VaTech and Auburn. Wtf are you talking about? We have 10 teams in the conference and last year there were 6 teams worthy of bowl games. Sorry dude - it's not apples to apples. Last I checked the SEC had more teams. Likewise, the PAC schedule really hard OOC games. LSU may do that but not your rivals.

11 points in 3.7 quarters...who give a sh*t! Last I checked points scored int he last .1 counted the same. Oregon left a lot of points on the table in that game and you know it.

In that order. And James is really really good, those other guys are just better

Let see how good Dyer is without Newton, veteran the oline, and with a defense taking a step back without Fairley and Bynes.

Didn't know Dyed was good because some defensive players were good. I mean most your logic on this thread is reaching at best.

A good defense gets you more touches dude. If your defense can't get the other team off the field, it will have an effect on production. I shouldn't have to explain this to you. Of course, it doesn't mean he's less talented, just gives him less chances to highlight said talent. I think one of the best rbs in the country is polk at UW. However, with a bad line and a defense that can't get off the field, you wouldn't know it.

Yes a defense getting the offense the ball helps the offense. But it does not directly help one player. Especially in Malzahn's offensive system. He is going to spread the ball around to multiple players so that defenses can't key in on that single player. Should I explain more out to you?

Richardson might prove to be the best, but I was most impressed by Davis. Regardless, it's close. Not the huge gap that some of y'all are suggesting.

Dyer will be the man next year. No one is going to fear their qbs this year. My point is let's see how Dyer does with defenses keying on him. You took one snippet of a comment and extrapolated it out more than I intended.
