Martin is from Stanford, Burfict is from ASU, Harris is from Oregon, LMJ is from Oregon, Luck is from Stanford. Watch for the rb from UW named Polk.
LMJ is not going to translate well to the NFL unless he gets his pass receiving skill up. Some projections have him in the first round.
I have seen Lawrence Guy from ASU in there. ASU could very well blow up this year.

Burfict
Absolute beast. I forgot who he was but quickly remember after searching him on youtube. There does seem to be a good bit of talent in the Pac X this year. Let's see if any teams outside of Oregon and Stanford can manage to not be so terrible.

ASU is my dark horse NC pick next year. Burfixct is a beast but i thought he was a true freshman last yr

Back up a few pages for one sec... Noel Devine was not hurt when we played them last year, he came in 100%. Just because Lsu (cleanly) injured him, doesn't mean he didn't have a fair shot at putting together a good game.

7thWard you calling me out???
quote:Cliff Harris?????? Im sorry if he didn't stand out to me. I really couldn't see much past PP7's Shadow!!!!!!!!!! Other than Prince Amukamara and Jimmy Smith I didn't pay much attention. Besides Mo Claiborne won't be over shadowed by Peterson anymore. Also how can anyone measure talent while playing a cream puff schedule?? COUGH COUGH. Sorry I had to throw that in there. WEEK to WEEK in the SEC. PLEASE PLEASE don't get offended, I was just picking even though everyone knows the SEC is the hardest conference by far.
What you have to learn is to distinguish between the rational, intelligent posters and the "Rantards" on this board newbie

And as another poster said I would put Lattimore on top IF we played them in the SEC championship.
I'd say there is a strong argument for each of the four RBs listed in the OP to be put over Lattimore.

Great question (and I'm leapfroggin' from the OP to here).
Dyer - great talent but Gus is going to be challenged to re-tool his O this year. It'll be real interesting to see what AU puts together on O.
James - Oregon obviously knows how to utilize him. I don't follow the Pac10 closely enough to know how complete of a back he is.
TR - another great back. But if Bama can't stretch the field with their passing game then I think TR will struggle.
KD - gets my vote. Better all-around IMO than TR. I don't think he gets the recognition he deserves because of the perception that Arky is such of a pass first O (it all reminds me of Spurrier and Rhett, Fred Taylor).

U rite. Looked it up, got some toe injury vs us. I take it back. LSU, we'll hurt your star running back and ruin his season. See Devine and TR

I thought the exact same thing. TR may be as talented as any of them, but I actually think we shut him down better than the others.

Notthe best but he will look like he is , Niles Davis.

Trent Richardson will be by far the best running back we'll face this year.
As much as i like Knile Davis, when you have a dangerous quarterback like Mallett throwing all over the place it keeps the defense on their heels so i think Davis had that advantage last year.
LaMichael James has put up big numbers two straight season and we get to play him the first game so he wont be worn out.
Dyer is young but still very talented. Here is my order.
1. Trent Richardson
2. LaMichael James
3. Knile Davis
4. Michael Dyer

I feel the same way, and it kind of reminds me the way LSU CRUSHED Williams in 03'. They came into that game saying Caddy would be the determining factor for a AU win and once he got rolling it wouldn't be close. Campbell struggled that year and we focused on Williams. Lavalais made him look silly.

They have Petrino and a few very talented QBs (seeing Tyler Wilson up close, that kid has all the tools you want), that passing attack is not going away.

Gamecocks's Latimore, followed closely by Bama's Richardson and Duck's James.......it's easy to get ill just thinking about what those three can do to a Dline.

LaMichael James is really good.. if he can get the corner. That'll be the key to the Oregon game will be containing him.
Michael Dyer is a good young running back, he showed it against Oregon in the NC last year. But with Auburn replacing most of their oline and losing Newton I think he'll have a slow year.
Arkansas might rely on Knile Davis more to start the season with Arkansas losing Mallett and breaking in a new QB. Arkansas having such a good passing option will open up the run a lot more.
Everybody has seen Trent Richardson. Fast physical back with good hands. I think he was better then Ingram. With McElroy and Julio gone you might see Bama rely on Richardson and Lacy more.
1.Richardson
2.Dyer
3.Davis
4.James
All 4 are different style running backs tho. Also add that all 4 have questions with their offense.
Tho some of these games are later in the season. James, Dyer, Davis, or Richardson could be out for the game or be 100% for the game. Or like someone said earlier, maybe a different running back will take a starting spot like Lacy. Anything can happen in college football. Also let it be known I do not wish any harm on any player, just saying injuries happen.
