Coming down from NJ for the game, really want to go to the game but tickets are crazy might pull the trigger on one closer to the game if they get a little less. But just wanted to know what the best places to eat and watch the game (family friendly) coming with the fam.

Enjoy your car getting broken into and going home in a casket.

Be careful like any big city, DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING in your car, and stay with the crowds. Pick pockets everywhere, wallet in your front pocket.

And it will be a great atmosphere for fun!

frick no. If you haven’t spent much time in a really large city and are gullible or can’t hold your liquor, you might find yourself in trouble. Otherwise, you’ll be fine.

Be aware of your surroundings and don’t talk to people trying to sell you drugs off the street and you’ll be fine.

Tchoup Yard, Bayou Beer Garden, Rusty Nail, and Wrong Iron are my favorite spots to watch a game. None of them are in the quarter though. Wherever you go, get there as early as you can.

All good suggestions.
The whole damn city will be one big arse watch party. I probably would suggest anywhere other than the quarter, but even there will be fun.
As it gets closer there will be a lot of places promoting watch parties

Let me just put it this way. With as many people/tourists that will be in the city...if you find yourself in a dark and quiet location, you're in a world of hurt.

Go to Manning’s and get there early. They have a huge projection on the building next door in the court yard. If the weather is bad there’s plenty of tvs inside. Good luck.

First, the overwhelming majority of posters on this board have no idea about NOLA restaurants. Go to nomenu.com

You can filter by area of the city. You’ll have every dining option based on your food preference and budget.

I think I'll be in BR for that Monday. I wonder if there are any watch party's planned around LSU campus or in BR?

As others have stated, all places will be crowded so get there early. NOLA Brewery has a huge TV screen and is good place to watch. Walk On’s Is close to the Super Dome but will be packed. Best option is to walk around the tailgating in the parking lots around Dome, not the same as Tiger Stadium, but most people will feed you if they know you are from Jersey. Also, take in French Quarter and Jax Brewery where many activities like pep rallies take place. Use nomenu.com for restaurants, but just walking around as early as 10 am up to about 2 hours before game time will be able to take in a lot of festivities. A good option would be to find nice hotel with good TV’s to stay at, then head back to that hotel after you have walk all around FQ and Stadium. Check out Champions Square too at the Dome. Geaux Tigers.

Champions Square next to the Dome will have the game on the screen all night.
