Jackson was as unstoppable a scorer as I've ever seen. He could come down court, cross over and hit a leaning 3 with regularity. He did not take "bad shots", because any shot he took was a good shot.
Good one. In the early 80's Hakeem was freak that few, if any, had seen in college basketball. An athletic 7 footer who could run, jump, and had the length to dunk and block everything. Alcindor was as skilled and gifted big man as their ever was. Chamberlain was just bigger than everyone else. Neither had the raw athleticism of Hakeem.
Shaq wasn't a great "basketball player" at LSU. He was just so physically dominant that he completely controlled the paint. Opponents were helpless
One guy that doesn't get mentioned much because he washed out in the NBA is Jimmer Fredette. From a pure scoring perspective he was probably the closest thing to Jackson since Jackson.

Shaq was dominant defensively but very raw offensively at LSU

I'm gonna get crucified for this but I'd say Zion. Keep in mind im only 22. But his size, speed, and ability to play are just insane for a 19 year old. The only thing he lacks is a jump shot. Anthony Davis was pretty special too. Wish I could've been alive to see Shaq, Pistol pete, and Chris Jackson play at LSU

Pete Maravich, no one else even close. For those who say Wilt Chamberlain, Lew Alcindor, or Shaq, those players excelled as much because of their size as anything else.

I was 11 and Shaq broke two backboards during the game in PMac. Dunk JAMS! Greatest basketball memory ever!

I saw Leonard Mitchell try to draw a charge on Dominique Wilkins in the Assembly Center back in 1981. Wilkins just jumped over him and threw down a monster dunk.

If it's college basketball, the main two guys I think of are Bill Walton and Christian Laettner. If "seen" is a limitation, that still holds true since I "saw" both on TV. If it is limited to those I saw in college and in person, then its CJ and Shaq.

JJ Redick comes to mind. It seemed like every shot he put up went in.

Chris Jackson hands down.
