Gas Station. Fill up your tank, turn around and head back to Louisiana.

Fayetteville and Starkville. The 2 places you request a room without a view.

Starkville yes but I’ve been told the complete opposite about Fayetteville. It’s been called the nicest trip if you like the surroundings besides the actual game.

My mom lives in Fayetteville, so i go up there a couple times a year. Pretty town, especially if you are driving on I-49. Dickson St is the hotspot for bars and entertainment, but it is right by the campus, so you will see a lot of Arky folks. The downtown square is pretty cool, most stores close by 5ish though. Penguin Ed’s and Whole Hog BBQ are the 2 good bbq joints there. Rogers is the nearby city (team is staying in Rogers Embassy Suites), and they have the Promenade Shopping mall, but it’s outside not indoors. A lot of good stores (99 total i think).

Wife and I are LSU alums who happen to have a daughter who is a junior up there. Here are some suggestions:

Cafe Rue Orleans not too far from campus is owned by a cousin of the family that owns Smitty's in Kenner. She is from S. Louisiana and the place is legit.

Herman's Ribhouse is legendary but good luck trying to get in there. Hugo's is great for burgers.

Farther from campus is the Venesian Inn in Tontitown. That area was settled back in the day by Italians and the food is great and you can bring your own liquor in.

21st Amendment and Theo's are great bars on Dickson St.
