I just got my overtime check. Thinking about the Sony A90, LG C2evo, and Samsung S95B.

Go with the LG, they have been in the OLED game longer, it’s thinner, and has more size options. Plus this tv version is an upgrade from the LG’s tv of the year 2021.

If picture quality is even remotely similar, bigger is always better.

I bought a 65 inch after having a 50 inch, and for like 2 weeks I was like this is amazing.

And then I realized I wish I woulda got a 75, even if it took a slight quality hit.

Most TVS with 4k HDR are so nice that quality might be subjective. My friends TCL looks just as good as my Sony unless you really inspect them side by side probably.

So point is Bigger is always better.

edit: Costco doesn't carry the A90.

Just got overtime check. . .wants to spend it on a TV. This tells me all I need to know about where you will be in 10 years.

Sony uses the same OLED panel from LG, however, Sony's Cognitive processor is superior to LG and that makes a huge difference in motion viewing such as football. And it is why Sony costs a little more.

The A90K OLED is a kick-arse TV but still pricey, especially if you want a bigger TV. I don't think the A90K comes in anything bigger than 50 inch or so right now. Maybe you are pricing last year's model, the A90J -- it comes as big as 83 inches.

Right now, the Sony A80K in 77 inch ($3000) is the best picture for the value. I bought a Sony A80J last summer and it is fabulous.

Also, consider the Sony X95K which is a Mini-LED. A lot people are liking that one as well and it comes in 85 inches for around $4500.

You always will pay for 2 things -- quality and size.

I am trying to convince the wife to let me put the 85 inch X95K in the den and move our 77 A80K to the bedroom. And I'm making some headway as prices edge downward. Black Friday is my target right now.

In response to my savings, it’s 10% of the overtime check. I’ve already put away half of the check. Maybe don’t be a prick and just answer the question. Otherwise, don’t comment.
