But Jimbo has them playing tougher football. I think when he gets his offense in he'll do much better. I just hope we didn't miss out when we didn't get him. I think he's a solid football coach.
+1
Texas A&M is going to be a handful to deal with once Fisher gets things rolling, unfortunately. It's a shame we missed out on him in 2015.

Some people seem to be confused over Fisher's ability as a head coach because A & M paid him too much money for too long a period. Make no mistake: Fisher is a good coach. Far better than Orgeron. BUt he is not worth what the Aggies have signed him for.
Fisher is a good coach, but I would say he's on par with Miles. He had one championship season and returned the next season to get crushed in the NCG (59-20) just like Les. Following that he's had two 10-3 seasons at FSU and then 7-6 before he quit. If he had stayed in the ACC he would have been playing on par with Clemson as LSU has to Bama. Dabo was his Saban and he was starting to slip in the ACC the same way Les was.
Now in the SEC we will have UGA and UF fighting for the east and a shot to face Bama and Jimbo will be fighting for 2nd in the west and a 3rd place SEC finish with the rest of us(if he's lucky). If Saban finally calls it quits then it's a free for all in the SEC. There are always outliers, but this is how the SEC is shaping up.

Jimbo went on to coach at FSU for 8 years accumulating an 83-23 record, a 2013 BCS national championship, 3 ACC conference championships, 4 AP Poll top 10 finishes, and 4 bowl game victories
He would be fired at LSU with this record. 9-3 average for a regular season
