how is this better than the 79' game against USC, or for that matter, the Tenn 00' game, or UGA 03'?

As an old timer, I would have to include the 1971 Notre Dame game and the 1979 USC game in the top 3. The '97 and "07 Florda games were both incredible however.

Auburn 07 could also be up there. Why not have Best 5 Tiger Stadium games of all time?

Beating Bamma for the first time in years. 82 I believe. Asnsparger put a defensive guy on every offensive player and and shut down the option. Bears last year as coach of Alabama.

USC 1979

Florida State Fog bowl which sent LSU to the Orange bowl 82'. Talk about mystique. This game was a once in a lifetime event. I was @ the earthquack game and many more but these three stand out in my memory as the best I've ever attended.

As another old-timer the 69 Auburn game would be up there as well as the Earthquake game. Don't forget the 82 Florida State game.

Florida State Fog bowl

Legendary ... the night it rained oranges in Tiger Stadium. LSU's Jimmy Taylor was commentator on the broadcast, with his Packers teammate Paul Hornung doing play-by-play. When that dense fog rose up from the river high enough to start spilling into the stadium Hornung got panicky and kept saying there's a fire, there's a fire! Taylor stayed cool and said it's just fog, man. Alan Risher, Dalton Hilliard, Leonard Marshall ... great, great game.

No mention of the 1959 Ole Miss game: Cannon's Punt Return and 4th quarter goal line stand.

Not just the significance, but such and awesome game. Reminiscent of the 07 UF game with all the 4th down conversions.

88 Auburn game is what made this North Carolinian a Tigah.

Auburn '88 (the earthquake). You absolutely had to be there to understand. Interestingly, Pat Dye claims that Auburn won the SEC Championship that year. Is that possible?

From my years and games I attended:

1. 2000 Tennessee
2. 1997 Florida
3. 1986 Notre Dame

'03 UGA and '01 Auburn are right up there. As is last year's Florida game.

Says the 24 year old.

1) 79 USC - If you were there, you'd understand. Best TEAM ever to show up at Tiger Stadium.
2) 97 Florida - They WERE #1.
3) 07 Florida, 71 Notre Dame, or 88 Auburn. Toss up.
