Bertman reminded Mainieri that “we’re not curing cancer here,”
when I saw this title I thought this would hopefully be about Bertman telling Paul to find a new medical staff and get those pitchers on the freaking hump.

Prove it....

We fired smoke for missing the tourney one time and losing a regional . PM has done both multiple times

Smoke also had a losing SEC record. Show me when that has happened under PM..... I'll wait.

I have nothing to deal with. Mainieri is here and LSU has been a very consistent program under his lead. Sounds like you are the one that needs to deal with it.

I understand the fact that the game has changed since Skip was here and it is much harder to make it to Omaha now with the scholarship regs and the way the game itself has changed. And we were still only 2 wins shy of Omaha even with the absurd amount of injuries and depleted pitching this year.

Im not making excuses, those are just facts.

Smoke took over for one of the best coaches in the history of college baseball. Paul took over a program that had a losing SEC record. I’m not saying there aren’t issues but Paul is in the college baseball hall of fame and Smoke was fired by North Florida.

It’s the house that Skip built. He hand picked the leprechaun. He damn sure does not want to see the house that he built rot way.

Is Bertman JBE's dad? They certainly look alike.

No, Skip only made girls. Never got the depth necessary to create a boy.

Smoke never lost 53 games in a two year period either. He was also left with an atypical of Skip roster of renegades, JUCO’s assembled to try to give Skip a final hoorah.

You and your upvoters are a bunch of ‘twats. If it meant nothing then why do we pay the guy so much? If it’s nothing why did we build such a nice stadium and lead the country in attendance? That’s cool if it’s nothing to you but the fact that he’s paid a lot of money makes it something. So in the scheme of things give a comparison as to what means something? People dog out the cops all the time and we dont pay them much. Does that mean nothing? Does it have to be life or death like say and EMT or emergency room doctor? Just curious what you think actually means something when a dude getting paid what Paul does to do something meaningless lol

I don’t know what to think here, Maneri not living up to the high expectations only makes Skip look even better, so I don’t like this relationship , just doesn’t sit well.....

What does this even mean? It seems some teams manage to get to Omaha. Why is it too difficult for our team?
