The CEO can hire someone who works at Mc Donald’s for all I care . Some of you people complain if you would get an increase in your pay check .
The CEO is a boss he handles his business.

Please tell us who you would have hired as a defensive analyst

Can you provide us an example of either? I’m trying to figure out whether I should be excited about this news or not

Hiring former players to analyst and mentoring roles and hiring your buddy as the offensive coordinator are two very different things.

Orgeron has done both.

Every coach hires other coaches that they are familiar with. Whether directly or thru a colleague

Analysts typically aren't anything to get excited about in general. Logan coming in is a good thing though. He was a hell of a football player for us and was solid in the league for a few seasons. He was a great leader leader and a bright dude too. He certainly can help out in game prep.

As to the nepotism claims, CEO never coached the guy. I'm sure being a former player got his foot in the door, but I trust Ed when it comes to anything involving the D-line. In short, it was a good hire.

I don't dispute that, but Orgeron told the fans that he'd go out and hire the best possible coaches. Nothing against Ensminger, but you can't tell me that he's the best guy that Orgeron could've gotten.

Sometimes the best guy is about fit how they fit in the program and how they relate with the players and other coaches not just a big name guy that doesn’t fit in.

At the time Canada was "the best possible coach" and O got burned. SE brought stability and gave O the ability to bring on others to modernize the offense into what he wanted.

It seemed to work out pretty well last season.

Two years in a row he’s hired someone to over ride ensminger

This narrative has to die at some point

Override or supplement?

I believe the latter.

Brady surely had his hands all over last season

Then when he left, they brought in another guy & paid him the same amount as Ensminger, despite a much lesser title.

Call it what you will but they do not trust Ensminger to run the offense on his own. Brady had so much success that they are going to continue to recreate that model. Pretty clear imo

He's an analyst and never played for Orgeron.

But freak out here if you must.

A longtime NFL player fresh out of the league is probably the best analyst money can buy. You don’t stick around in the NFL as long as he did if you don’t know the game.
