With Burrow as #1 pick might be time to place that bet.

Yeah if you want to lose money

Bengals were 29th in total defense last year and have one of the wost Olines in the AFC
So no.
Now woud be a horrible time to place that bet.

To be fair, their 1st round pick OT was out for the whole year, but the Bengals are still dogshit so point stands

Might be ok to place a bet on the over for win total, but you would have to be a damn fool to bet on them for the super bowl

This is why the lights shine so bright in Vegas. SMH

San Francisco was 4-12 in 2018. Their defense was ranked 28th in total defense. They were 21st in total offense (admittedly without their starting QB for most of the year)
That's not to say Burrow could completely turn the Bengals around in one season or that the Bengals are even competent enough as a franchise to do so, but remarkable one year turnarounds are not completely unheard of (see 2005 Saints to 2006 Saints). At 200-1 it's not a "terrible" bet simply because of the long odds

Weren't those the exact same odds for Burrow to win Heisman before the year? Kind of funny how that stuff happens.
I wouldn't bet on the Bengals to win it this year, because I don't bet and can't afford to bet. But nothing would surprise me, with him.
Edit- Thanks for downvoting a pro-Burrow post, people. It never ceases to amaze me what a bunch of miserable people post here.

We are talking about a franchise that is too cheap to build an indoor practice facility and borrows one from a college. Their locker room looks like LSU’s in 2006. They refuse to make moves in free agency. No comparison to San Fran

I'll be in vegas this weekend, gonna make that bet.

Going to be a tough division when Steelers add Cam and if Browns can get their act together.

Sure. And if the odds were 10-1 it would be a dumb bet. But at 200-1 it might be worth a flier, even though I agree their personnel department is largely dogshit

I have a friend that played for the Bengals organization for 8 years. Long story short, their ownership cares more about the bottom line than winning. It’s a family legacy ownership and the current owner/manager is simply collecting a fat check. If history means anything. The Bengals will not be willing to spend money to support and surround Burrow with everything he needs to win. When my buddy played for them they didn’t even have an indoor facility. Not sure if they have built one since 2015

50 bucks...why not?
Bengals should have 200:1 odds to win 8 games. 2000:1 for Superbowl win.

The 2004 Saints went 8-8. In 2005 they played 16 road games and went 3-13. In 2006 they signed a veteran, pro bowl QB who was only available because of questions about his health and went 10-6. No rookie QB has won a SB.
