Yes. I think it was much harder for him to be at LSU last year than we all knew. I'm not holding it against him, the whole one and done mandate is a joke.

More on LSU than Simmons. Making a reality show about a college player? That should be an NCAA violation. If LSU was paid for that it's a damn shame. Exploitation all around

He had a choice to make money for a year or 2 in Europe or down under and never have to worry about college. So no.

Not really. Like that Ohio State football player famously said, "I ain't come here to play school".
LSU fans might take exception to him calling the year a waste of time, but let's call a spade a spade, the year was a giant waste of his time.
I got to meet him last year. He seems like a good guy and I hope all the best for him.

So basically about 90% of college athletes at schools known more for their athletics than academics?
I had no issue with the documentary because it's been a sham for these kids for decades now. That same story was being told when the Fab Five was at Michigan.
The only complainer that pissed me off was Ed O'Bannon because he took my college sports video games away basically

I am curious - why did Ben come here? Could he not have played professionally somewhere for one year and then go to the NBA?

Honestly I hope this dude falls flat on his face and has a terrible NBA career. He won't care because he got paid, but would still enjoy seeing him be terrible.

He did not have to come to LSU or any other school, but he did to promote himself.
He could have played overseas, gotten paid and then came to the NBA.
The guy came and got special treatment and he's still whining.

Agree. He acts like he somehow got shafted by having to go to class for a few months. Dude made millions by coming here for 1 year, not attending class most of the time & playing halfass for many games.
Guess what? It paid off for him. Why is he whining?
