There's a lot of good left in this world. This is very humbling. I had season tickets almost skips entire coaching tenure. What a blessing. RIP Skip. These players you molded into great men honor your legacy. Your work here was complete. Thank you for everything.

Ben always makes any story a little bit better. Rough hearing him get choked up for a second but definitely justified. RIP Skipper.

I didn't know Skip got him in broadcasting
I attended an event honoring Coach B (I think it was his 80th birthday and “Hold the Rope” premiered) and had the opportunity to speak with Ben McD. I wanted to tell him how much I enjoyed listening to him and Lyn banter and that I noticed he lost his country bumpkin facade as soon as he got to the particulars of what the pitcher was doing. He pointed over to Coach B and said “that’s the man who started it all for me.” His love for the man was so obvious

the strangest thing happened to me the day before yesterday. I was thinking how it was going to be sad when we lost skip and then he died like 12 hours later.
its so weird how stuff like that happens .

Skip was spot on when he told Ben that he was an excellent story teller and would do good in broadcasting.

Skip knew hidden talent, and knew how to make it bloom.
