Ben McDonald is a awesome dude. Great at calling games, also a class act.

Really enjoy listening to him. He’s very good at his job.

3-4 years ago my son ran into him after a LSU game at Alex Box. He stopped signed a ball and talked to him for a few minutes.

He’s been amazing for years! Hopefully years to come too.

He makes the games much more enjoyable to watch with his knowledge

I agree. Rollins and McDonald are the best combination.

I’ll never forget riding my bike to his parents home in Denham when I was a child with his rookie baseball card in my hand thinking “why the hell not?” and to my surprise he opened the door after I knocked and signed my card! I was in awe for days!

Watching the second game yesterday, I couldn't tell if Rollins was talking through a mask, or what, but he seemed way more muffled and almost seemed to have been slurring a bit.

My wife is the one who heard it first, but once she pointed it out I couldn't NOT hear it. It was really obvious when Ben would speak and enunciate very clearly right after Rollins.

Were we the only ones who heard it? I hope everything is ok, because I love the way he works a game.

Pretty sure Lynn has been wearing a mask. Don't know specifically why

Last season he did Orioles games on TV. I wonder if he was rehired. He is good.

Yes
He still does Orioles games
Usually after his college commitment with SEC Network and ESPN ends

I think we discuss this every year and the consensus is the same. He’s great.

Him and Lyn have spoiled me

If they aren’t calling the games I almost want to mute it

If only they could get rid of Ronnie Rantz.

He is terrible at impressions but he thinks he is the greatest

Rantz only fills in as a last resort but he still is involved with the CST games

The radio call on the SEC network plus is terrible
It's time to find a replacement for Doug Thompson, he's worse than Rantz who gave him his first opportunity
