I have seen some of the dumbest things on here after this loss.

With 6 wins 6 losses changing QB might be understandable from The Rant.

6 and 6 calling out the OC and DC might be understandable from The Rant.

9 and 3 playing the #1 team in the country for the SEC Championship in the first year of a rebuild and with a new QB. Also the DC is working with a group of 6 or 7 transfer DBs.

The best case at the beginning of the year was 8 wins and probably more like 6 or 7 wins.

As of Saturday Nights Loss worst case is a 9 and 4 season with a Bowl game to play. Best case is 10 wins 3 losses and THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP.

Kelly could walk out to mid field in Atlanta and take a BIG OLE DUMP on the 50 yard line and all you shite heads should do is stand up and cheer and say thank you for absolutely one of the best coaching jobs LSU Fans have ever seen.

Well said. Lots of weak-minded fans on here who can’t handle that we are in fact, not the best team in the country and are vulnerable to losing once in a while. They got too caught up in the great run from Florida to Saturday that Saturdays loss to a shitty arse A&M team broke them. Reality is that we are definitely on the upswing and starting one hell of a run at LSU. The future looks very bright.

This place is a frickin cesspool during a game we are losing or after a loss. The amount of clueless idiots on here and associated with our fanbase is astounding!

If you asked me if we went 9-3 and a win against Bama, I’d take the loss to TAMU 10/10 times

Regardless if we were SEC West champs

So it's OK to lose because the QB keeps doing the same stupid things over and over? OK. Thanks. We can now all relax.

Same.

It's ok to be dissappointed in our performance. We had sooo much to play for with all of the teams losing .... and then we laid an absolute egg Saturday night.

Having said that, winning on the road in the SEC is extremly difficult. Just pay attention and look around.

We're 9 and 3, SEC West Champs and get a chance to play for the SEC Championship in Kelly's 1st year.

Come on people. Relax. We just went 11 and 12 over the last 2 seasons and finished last year by getting our asses kicked by K State with 38 or 39 avaialable players in the Texas Bowl.

We're trending in the right direction...... Relax. Get off of social media for a day or 2 and enjoy life. We're going to be just fine.

I said it before the game. A loss to Faggy would take a lot of luster off the season. Losing to Arky and beating faggy for same results would’ve been much more agreeable to many on here. I personally feel great about where the program is trending.

You are doing nothing more that proving his point about the ignorance of the fan base with this statement.

Posts like this gives me hope about our fanbase. Sometimes it seems the ridiculous takes are the majority but I’m glad there are those here that are still reasonable!

Aye, they didn't get beat by the Number 1, 5, or 7 ranked team in the country. They got taken out behind the woodshed by a team with 3 wins and was beaten by Appalachian State earlier this year.

A great season none the less, but the lack of coaching for this game resembled the Tennessee game in it's awfulness.

If you’ve really been here that long you already know how dumb this board is after a loss.

So jokes on you bud.

It is possible to both be happy with the overall results of the season AND critical of the game plans, coaching, and just overall bad play on Saturday night. Yes, no one reasonably expected LSU to win the West this year. No one reasonably expected them to be in contention for a CFP spot. Yet, the reality is they were going into the game Saturday and I don't think it was wholly unreasonable for the expectation to be that they would beat a last place SEC team to keep the CFP potential alive.

You can also be very happy with the overall results of this season, but also recognize there could be some weaknesses that need to be addressed, quickly, before year 2 where the expectations will be, understandably, much, much higher.

In 2011 LSU was undefeated after a win over #2 Alabama. However, in the games that followed you could see the offense was really struggling. Yet, to voice such concerns/criticism was touted as "ungrateful" and "unreasonable" by many because LSU was having such a great season. Of course, all of those concerns were fully exposed as reality with Alabama embarrassed LSU's offense on the biggest stage.

Of course, no one can, or should, compare this year to 2011 on the whole. That season started out with tremendous preseason expectations whereas this one had none. But the point is burying your head in the sand as to glaring issues/concerns just because the overall season has been good doesn't really accomplish anything. It just makes it more difficult for those to who ignored reality to accept when the cold hand of reality slaps them across the face. If you were in a race in which you were never supposed to contend, yet found yourself tied for the lead in the final 10 meters before completely falling apart would you think "who cares about those final 10 meters? I shouldn't have been there in the first place." Or would you say "Damnit! I had a shot to win and let it go. How can I get here again and make sure I excel in those final 10 meters?"

Overall this has been a very good season. Anyone who says otherwise is ridiculous. But that doesn't mean that in the process it is unreasonable to ignore there could be some concerns that could hold future teams back from being much better if not addressed.

This right here. It is amazing how little actual football knowledge these keyboard warriors have. TAM was the most talented 4-7 team maybe ever. LSU has been playing 65 scholarship players all year with a pieced together DB backfield and no depth at LB. Our starting 4 linemen have played the majority of snaps. I know JD tends to clam up when there is a TO and he doesn't always read the defense properly but there is no way in hell we'd be here without him yet these dweebs continue to sh*t on him. BK has done an outstanding job this year with a great recruiting class coming in. I believe JD will probably start next year but Howard will get his opportunities and if JD struggles next year they will not hesitate to put him in. The QB situation may work itself out on the field. If JD progresses then Howard gets a year of experience and takes over in 2024. Depth is incredibly important in this conference and we have none this year. People need to get a grip and understand how much this team over achieved and what the future holds.

Expected a bad season
Thrilled for a good season
Big fan of bk

But when you put effort into things to improve them your expectations should modify as the effort put in , time and money is spent. My expectations at the beginning of the game were not and should not be the same as at the beginning of the season…

Happy for the overall season … yes… excited about the effort at the game… no…. concerned about the regression of some aspects after all the time money and effort used to improve it…… yes

Just like using point forward economics to spend money on a project that has lost money…
