Texas game was close.

But only in the way games with joe burrow, justin jefferson, and jamar chase could ever be close that season.

Even when it was close, it wasnt, because that offense would score 10/10 times when it needed to.

But at the time, the texas game was close.

and we shoulda beaten bama and clemson by 21

two blown shite coverage calls by aranda plus a special teams blunder cost us 21 points

chase dropped a TD pass and O did a mercy kneel when we shoulda ran it in the EZ.

“two blown shite coverage calls by aranda plus a special “

Wrong. Stingley was looking at the Bama bench as the ball was snapped. Their receiver ran right past him.

It was never close in that in the 2nd half Texas never had the ball with a chance to take the lead. But if LSU doesn’t convert that 3rd and 17 they probably lose because LSU wasn’t stopping Texas by that point.

Wrong. He was looking at the LSU bench because somebody, I’m assuming a coach, was shouting something out. Stingley wasn’t the only Tiger defender to look over at the bench at the same time. I think Chaisson did too. Stingley was pissed and the replay showed him pointing back at the bench and telling them about it.

Just goes to show you don't schedule big schools early on like that. LSU wasn't clicking on all cylinders until after that game. And yeah, it was close. If Jefferson didn't convert that big play near the end and turned it into a TD that game would've been uncomfortable. Luckily, him and Burrow put the dagger in their heart. Auburn game was closer than it should've been as well. Clemson tried to play the same defense and it worked the 1st quarter.

I consider that our toughest game that whole season and there’s no shame in that. Auburn had a hell of a defense in ‘19.

I had fun watching every game in 2019 except for that one. It was a white knuckler for me and I was just happy when we finally salted it away late.

Sorry, you’re wrong. There is NEVER a reason why LSU should be in press man coverage, with CB’s lined up on the line when you are up 2 scores and with less than 2:00 on the clock.

Nah man eff that. Give me those big ooc September games. That game provided one of the greatest nights of the season and one of the very top highlights of the season in 3rd and 17.
