Looking at the remaining teams that could run the table and be undefeated at the end of the season it looks like Boise, Wisconsin, and either LSU or bama would be those teams (possibly OU if they can pull out Bedlam). But should we or Alabama have one loss after the SEC championship which teams would get the nod?

ETA: I think we are forgetting that Boise will also be undefeated. Not just Wisconsin (possibly OU).

Wisconsin and OU IMO. An undefeated SEC champ gets in no questions asked!

I think 1 loss SEC goes over undefeated Wisconsin because of SOS and computer rankings.

No way of knowing until end of the season to see how everyone's schedule plays out.

SEC has a lot of prestige, but know way a one-loss team goes over an undefeated team from big12/pac12/big10

this, AND many in the SEC have little or no idea how badly the rest of the country would like for there NOT to be an SEC team in the NC game. with 5 in a row and the pub we get, the other conferences do not like us, esp the big 12 and big 10.

Would love to.

You legitimately think that an undefeated team from a major conference (Big12/Big10/Pac12/ACC) would get passed over in favor of a one-loss SEC team?

Try being less biased.

I'd love to see the one-loss SEC team in that situation to keep the streak going, but it wouldn't be right. In this case the one-loss team DID NOT do what it needed this season to make it to the MNC Game and one of those undefeated team did.

The SEC has gained a great amount of prestige in the last few years, but there is NO WAY, and I mean NOOOO WAAAAAAY a one loss SEC team makes it over Wisconsin if they go undefeated and through the Big 10(12) title game.

I'll bet you whatever you want.

A one loss SEC team makes it in over an undefeated Boise, but not Wisconsin for 2 reasons:

1.) As stated above they are from a power conference
2.) Wisconsin is actually legit this year

I'd take that bet any day of the week and twice on Saturday. It's debatable whether a one loss SEC team would beat out Boise. They've earned a certain amount of legitimacy over the last couple of years and have stood up in the few big games that they have played.

Lets compare their ranked foes in the last few years to LSU's schedule THIS year.

Trust me, even if Boise State was the only undefeated team this year, we still wouldn't make it to the 'ship. And I don't think we'd deserve it either. Our hopes were laying on our schedule being tougher this year than in years past which was a real possibility considering the potential of our opponents. But through injuries, close calls, bad luck, and underwhelming performances, nearly our entire schedule underperformed (Georgia's loss to South Carolina, TCU losing to Baylor, SMU; Fresno loss to Cal, Nebraska, Ole Miss; Toledo's loss to Ohio State and Syracuse; all of those were winnable games that just didn't happen).

Meh, oh well. And contrary to what seems to be the perception here, I and most Boise State fans are completely okay with this. I don't know very many that honestly think we deserve a shot at the title this year, or that think we're better than LSU or Alabama.

Just some two cents from a Boise fan who really enjoys reading this board.

Don't forget OU plays, Texas, Texas a&m, Kansas state, baylor, and oklahama state. None of those games will be comfortable wins.

Wisconsin has a much easier schedule but don't forget Illinois and Michigan.

it's going to be either an undefeated LSU or Alabama team or a 1-loss LSU or Alabama team in the BCS NC no matter what.

sorry the SEC is decent.

I believe it will be an undefeated lsu/alabama versus boise state or wisconsin if they are undefeated.
