just remember the cotton is where the foundation for 2011 team was built.

And we own Jerry World. Cotton Bowl followed by the season opener the next year for 2 out of 3 years.

Im fine with either. bcs is shite and going away anyway. Cotton Bowl very prestigious now in Jerry's World and would benefit recruiting locally. I just like to win out and finish top 5 however it happens.

A shitstorm would ensue if A&M went ahead of two higher ranked teams that had both defeated them.

That happens all the time in the bowl selection process.

keep in mind that LSU is a well known fanbase for traveling well and spending a lot of money when we get there....

True and A&M is the flavor of the moment right now. But that win over Bama will still be fresh in everyone's mind when they pick bowl games.

Of course there is a nightmare scenario that could see LSU drop all the way to the Chick-fil-a Bowl at 10-2.

K State
Oregon
ND
Alabama
Georgia
Florida
LSU

Those are the BCS standings. The most likely scenario is Florida losing to Florida State and Georgia losing to Alabama. That would put LSU at #5. ND has a good chance of losing @USC. That would probably put LSU at #4.. depending on how far the voters drop ND because ND's computer ranking is #1.. but voters have been waiting for ND to lose all season.. They may drop them hard when they do lose.

So that puts LSU at #4.. meaning we get an auto at-large bid. I don't see A&M as a threat to jump LSU and get to #4. They don't play anyone that would give them a bump in the polls. They're sitting one spot behind LSU but there's a pretty big gap.

Wildly improbable scenario:

LSU wins out
KSU loses to Texas
UF loses to FSU
ND loses to USC
UGA loses to Ga Tech
Bama loses to UGA

LSU-Oregon BCS title game

I don't think so.

You're forgetting Florida State in that scenario. Along with the fact a 2 loss LSU won't get in over a 1 loss conference champion.

UGA beating Bama would still keep them ahead of LSU because there is absolutely no way in hell they are losing to Tech.

My thoughts exactly.

Edwards is way off on his projections this year.....been that way all year.

No way Bama goes to the Outback. They are going to the BCS or they are going to the Capital One. The outback only takes SECEast teams. Also, I don't believe LSU would get passed up for a BCS bowl by another lower seeded SEC team, especially one we beat on the road.

They're clearly predicting an Alabama loss to Georgia in the SECCG. I don't buy it, but whatever, let's work with it.

Notre Dame replaces Oregon in both sets, so they're assuming the rankings are Oregon, K-State, ND for 1-2-3. Makes sense. Florida State and Rutgers are BCS champs, as is Nebraska. The at-larges after ND are Clemson, Oklahoma and
.

Kind of surprised A&M isn't in the Cotton Bowl in either one.
