I'd put that $100 monthly into a mutual fund for the next 30 years.....at the end it would be worth about $350K

Nice. Then with the 350k in 2054 I buy LSU a 3rd string punter for the practice squad.

I honestly just dont see the point of donating my hard earned money to pay college athletes. I’ll just keep my money for myself and my family.

I hate NIL, at least how unstructured it is now, but giving for that isn't much different than all the money I've paid TAF for season tickets and a parking pass all these years. The "point" is to help your team get better players. If that's not important to you, definitely don't give. Just don't complain about the quality of our team in the future from way up on your high horse.

It’s not tax deductible anyways. Or it shouldn’t be.

The whole premise of this collective begging is embarassing.

And how about offering something for signing up as a monthly donor?

How much would you have to give to get a piece from one of the danceline hotties?

They should design a special logo and put it on a nice Columbia polo, make one design and mail it out to all of the members before football season each year.
Gotta donate 500$ a year.

I don't care enough any more to donate. College athletics are pretty much dead now.

I believe that if you trade a good or service for a donation it’s not tax deductible

Donations to Bayou Traditions are not tax deductible.

Actually. In order for it to be anything OTHER than pay for play shouldn’t some sort of product from one of the athletes be required to be received? The guise of NIL was supposed to be for athletes making money off of their Name, Image, or Likeness.

Should be able to just straight up purchased signed goods or photos or something with or from the players themselves.

If the players don’t want to sign autographs or be available to fans then maybe fame and stardom isn’t really for them.

Stuff like this needs to be sent by email to Woodward our AD, fans requests are important.

Major donors? Sure

Average fan? Straight to unpaid freshman intern.

Try sending them an email and see if you ever hear back.
I sent an email to them with a question about joining The Oaks and they never responded. I guess they didn't want my money.

My dad has always donated to several charities, and get gifts back all the time...i.e. supposedly made by Indian children (probably Chinese though), notepads, calendars, SPCA t-shirts, etc, etc. And all tax deductible.

I think the website mentions that donations may count for TAF points or something. But hell they could give something to make it enticing.

Like the charities that send a picture of the family you are feeding.

Yea, there you go. Send me a picture of the Lexus that our punter is driving, or the backup TE eating at Texas de Brazil.

Everyone gets copies of the receipts that BK is cashing when donating to BT.

Something OM does that I hope to god LSU is doing via NIL is pay for flights, hotels and rental cars to home games for a player’s family/friends, etc. Not cash in pocket but a bunch of $.

Are our marketing programs at LSU really this bad or football team that disconnected from the university that they can’t come up with anything, ANYTHING at all to entice people to donate? Louisiana is such a laid back lazy mentality state that I don’t think anyone in the athletic department even cares enough to be open minded or proactive towards NIL proposals
