When you play a traditional opponent, and rival, like bama. You stick to tradition. IMO. Also our tradition in TS at night is a winning one.

this has nothing to do with us losing.... im not talking about when we play bama.... and it would look a hell of a lot better than the pro combat they put us in last year....

Sure, I'll indulge... my REASON is that an All Black uniform and asking fans to "black out" our stadium is an asinine idea.
Not only would the uniforms and your suggested matte black helmets look like shite.... but the idea of "white out" games was originally "invented" to stand out ---- not hide.
Our "Gold Games" are actually pretty impressive on TV... your suggestion of all black is simply absurd.
That's all.

Pretty sure a bunch of people actually liked the all whites, because A. White is an LSU color.
B. It wasn't crazy different from our traditional uniforms (we've worn the helmet before, white pants were new).

I think it is a horrible idea. It's a gimmicky thing for programs that aren't elite like us. Look at current teams that are doing things like this (except for Oregon for obvious reasons): Maryland, Oklahoma State, TCU, Notre Dame.
Other than the Pro Combats every other year that Nike requests us to do, the only change in uniform should be our purple tops.
We are an elite program that shouldn't need a gimmick like this to have swagger. We had our first glimpse of swagger this year vs SoCar, and we will be swaggin to the max against Bama.

I think Herbstreit wouldn't know swagger if it rubbed it's junk all over his face liike Beast getting up from sacking Manziel.
Swagger we got. A smidge more discipline wouldn't be a horrible idea. Doubt black uniforms would contribute to that though.
