High ball screen with whoever Timme was guarding. Everyone clear out and watch their stud guards cook Timme after a switch. Looked familiar, didn’t it?

Of course, the nasty defense Baylor played did not look familiar. THAT was the reason LSU had a good, not great, year- not the “street ball” offense.

Looking forward to Wade bringing in 1 or 2 good transfers who can hopefully contribute on both ends of the court.

Did I hear correctly at the end of the broadcast that Mark Vital is 24 years old?

He played well last night, especially on the offensive boards. But holy shite that must be nice to have a guy in his mid 20s playing college ball.

Ummmmmmm wrong! What Baylor does is move the ball at the top of the key with multiple passes and lots of movement from guys without the ball. They eventually drive the lane for an easy layup, or a kick out 3. What LSU does is have one guy with the ball shoot, or dribble penetrate while the other 4 stand there like statues.

We had one of the most efficient offenses in the country this past season, and almost every year under Wade. People who attack our offense are just clueless.

If you saw anything that looked like LSU last night, you are comically ignorant or unfortunately blind. No one outside of a few delusional LSU fans saw the same.

You are really looking through purple and gold glasses if you think LSU and Baylor were similar on offense.

He has been at Baylor longer than Wade has been at LSU.

Baylor also dominated the boards, especially offensively. Something we lacked this season.

They also had 23 assists on 29 buckets against Houston. 70% of their FGs came off an assist in the Final 4.

Yeah they had alot of assists because when they go iso it's not score only. Baylor and LSU's offenses are similar in the plays drawn up to get favorable match ups. The difference is our guards force things and look to score only, while baylors guards won't force and are looking to score and pass. Plus they do the little things way better than us like move to space and cut.

Agree with your defense comment. Baylor's D is stifling and a big part of the reason for their success. Their offense is way different than our's this year. Even when Baylor used isolation, the rest of the team was active. They showed how to play team ball even when using isolation. Look at their offensive rebounding stats. Our team had guys standing around when they didn't have the ball and looked checked out for those plays.

People think iso means just one on one and try and score that's not what it is. It's one on one to score or breakdown the defense to get a good look for your teammates, Baylor is excellent at that while we were not.

Two players with 5+ ast

LSU didn’t have that once in a single game all year

Only came close twice, actually.

But Game was won on the boards. 2nd chance points.

Much better shooting team overall too. Better coached. More skilled. Isolation works when your guys take good shots & don’t shoot you out of games

You don’t understand what isolation is if you think it has anything to do with assist totals

Tell me what plays/sets Baylor ran. That’s all I heard all season was that we don’t run plays and sets. So break down for me what Baylor did .

Baylor ranked 6th in scoring with 82.79 ppg. LSU was way way way below at 10th with 81.76 ppg. You are clearly right and there is a significant differentiation in that 1.03 ppg between Baylor and LSUs offense.

The biggest difference between Baylor and us (besides talent) is their defense. They were unbelievably active on the defensive side last night. Hands in passing lanes, bodying up on the perimeter, closing speed on shooters, etc.

It was a BEAUTIFUL defensive performance that wore out and frustrated Gonzaga which led to open looks on the offensive side.
