Doesn’t matter.
Catcher interference 100% of the time.
And it was Henry’s fault, pitch should’ve been three feet to the left

If the pitch out was the call... and the pitch wasn't far enough outside then Garza has to stay put and wait on it.

That isn't the way a pitch out works. The catcher has to jump as the pitcher releases the ball. At that point Garza has to catch it or let it go to the backstop. Garza did everything right, and so did the batter. The pitcher blew it. Actually, there is an outside chance Garza did not give him the sign, which is a closed fist.

Garza’s fault. Know the rules

We could be talking semantics here, but while it was catcher's interference, it was not Garza'a fault. He went where the pitch took him.

There is a reason its called a pitch "out". The pitch is supposed to be far enough out where a batter standing in the batter's box cant reach it on a hit and run.

The pitcher missed his spot. It happens. SC was lucky enough to have hit and run on. Otherwise the batter does not swing, the runner is easily put out and the pitcher gets away with a poorly executed pitch out.

You step out to catch the pitch out. When the pitch instead goes over the plate and not in the other batters box where it's suppose to go you just let it be and hit the ump in the gonads and then proceed to walk to the pitcher to buy time for the ump to collect himself.

If the batter chooses to swing away then you're in a great position to field a grounder off the tip of the bat.

I don't know. But for that argument to be made, Garza would not have to have clearly moved forward, toward the batter. If he had stayed still, you may have a better argument. But we've even seen that called catcher interference before.

Catchers fault as longer as the hitter is in the box. I got my hand broke on a bad pitchout and the batter advanced

communication issue or pitchers fault in my opinion. Garza thought a pitch out. So either the sign was missed/wrong sign, or the pitcher threw inside instead of outside.

Didn’t it look like the batter hesitated then swung anyway?

Yes, he did. The announcers even mentioned this. But, the fact remains, even if he swung intentionally to hit the glove it's still the catchers fault because the glove was in an area where the bat could hit it. But yea, he wasn't going to swing until he saw the glove over the plate. Doesn't matter anymore, LSU spanked that booty.

If the hitter intentionally hit Garza's glove(with his hand inside) then the rules of baseball are not the issue. He could have broken his hand and even ruined his career. It is assault.

“Catcher interference” was one of my favorite little league moves.
