My wife and I are headed to Baton Rouge the last weekend of April for the Garth Brooks concert. She will have finished chemo and radiation by then!!

I think that Friday night we will go to the baseball game for first time in Alex Box Stadium, but inquiring about things to do that Saturday before the concert.

Also best place to stay?!

Thank you Tiger Nation

Wouldn't travel anywhere to watch a commie play music even if it was free.

He's a big Woodward fan. He will feel right at home on the LSU campus.

I have no info on your question, but glad to hear your wife is wrapping up chemo and radiation. Hope it did what it needed to for her to have a long and happy life.

Baseball and softball both are home the day of the concert. Softball is at 11, baseball at 2. Sounds like a great big clusterfrick, parking-wise.

Ignore all the immature bozos! I love his music and his political views won't change that (Whether I agree with them or not). If you all knew the thoughts/views of everyone you like and made decisions based on that, that list would be cut in half. Get a life losers!

Book your hotel soon. When Garth announced the concert people started making reservations.

There's plenty to eat right close to campus Like Chimes, Walk-Ons, Parrains, Mike Andersons for local seafood, boudin, gumbo, and such.

And you're only a few minutes' drive north to downtown BR. You could likely visit all three of these on that Saturday morning/lunch before the concert.

Oh and definitely don't write-off going see Mike the Tiger. His habitat is RIGHT outside the north side of Tiger Stadium. Just try to get over there around 10am-12pm b/c that's when he's most active, frickin around close to the fence waiting on lunch.

Mike The Tiger VII is one majestic motherfricker if you catch him at the right time of day.

The way the murder rate has skyrocketed in BR, make sure you are both wearing bullet proof vests.

I recommend visiting either one of the finest bar establishments near Campus, Reggie’s or Fred’s!
