After almost two decade she in the desert? Hmm...ten years ago LSU went to a final four. In 1996, LSU was getting ready to go on probation. You have your decades mixed up

Brady was fired not even two seasons after CTJr brought in his AAU group that rode their chemistry and talent all the way to the Final 4. Just like with Trent, a broken watch can tell the correct time twice a day.

With Johnny, he can't do squat, regardless of talent level. It's still a joke and so is he.

The truth hurts.

We won't really tell if we are any good until we get to the tournament in the Bahamas. I am always hopeful. Don't know why the rest of you are so negative. If we are that bad then nothing was hurt by hoping? And you know what it could be a lot better than you think.

I can tell you now... they won't be good. Defense is the most important facet of winning basketball games consistently. Jones can't teach it.... period.

Brady had too few highs and too many lows in his tenure. This fact along with reported personality issues and ability to get along with people doomed him. I would add this tidbit. People have said that Jones had mediocre record at best at North Texas before he came to LSU. Well, Brady went to similar situation after LSU and did not prove to be better than Jones. His teams did not dominate. Don't tell me that Brady should still be here at LSU as head coach.

Now, Trent Johnson was a waste of time and money. LSU basketball APR improved, but after the first year of his tenure, it was all downhill on the court.

Jones should be at the end of the road if this team doesn't do something special. Time will tell how well they do and how much political capital he has after this season. I'm not giving up yet, but was very discouraged after the debacle of last season. Time has partially healed that wound, but it is put up time for J Jones.

Yea if Jones can't do something with this team it's time to call it quits on him. He took us out the hole the was the Trent Johnson era but it would be time to take the next step. Hopefully they would hire a reasonable coach if that's the case

For now, I absolutely miss Brady Ball. the lows were well worth the highs. Now the day LSU finds a consistent winner, I'll go back to my initial thoughts on Brady when he was canned

Is CJJ still the coach? Then there won't be any improvement.

CJJ is probably pleased with where the team is. Picke 12th he can finish 9th and say he overachieved and padded the Ooc schedule with patsies to pad the overall win total and try to ride that and try to retain the job 1 more year with the help of the folks who strong armed us to hire him.

Cute little Pumper Boy already got his feelings hurt about somebody expressing an opinion that's contrary to his own.

BTW, I've been following and attending LSU Basketball games since Pete Maravich at the Cow Palace. (About as long as Football) Was an LSU Basketball Band drummer in the 80 and 81 Glory years. That good enough and long enough for ya?

You know what... you're right. They will magically be disciplined on defense and be able to see the ball, cut off dribble penetration, rotate, and contest shots without anyone teaching them how to.

I'm not talking out of my arse here or going out on a limb...I have three years of watching this team with JJ as head coach. Anyone that knows basketball can see this?

The most important stat is turnovers and if they don't fix that they won't win enough tournament worthy games to get you to NCAA's.

Interior defense has to improve as well.

I would interior defense as well as defense in it's entirety!

Not sure if you watched the same game but Wofford had two shooters that were draining 3s the entire first half totaling for over 25 points. After half time, those two fellas made a combined 6 points lol!
