Basketball team could be in danger zone here

Hear me out, you might think everything is gravy and good at 4-0 in the SEC right now, but we've got some serious roster issues right now.
Marlon Taylor did not travel to A&M, and no idea what's going on there other than his injury clearly isn't healed and no idea on time frame for him to return (not even traveling is not good IMO). We need him for his defense, because right now (well, 2 of last 3 games) we're not playing much of it.
Charles Manning got hurt badly in the A&M game, Wade confirmed he will have surgery and be out at least a month which means he's out most of the rest of SEC play. Huge loss as he really was a key part to this rotation and a guy who could kind of fill Taylor's shoes but be a better offensive weapon.
James Bishop has been totally MIA the last 5 games, after rotating for 10-ish minutes a game the first 11 games of the season. As far as I know, nobody has said what's going on there (injury/suspension?).
That leaves Andre Hyatt as the only bench guy who we trust right now. The guy who does bring some other items to the table but is supposed to be a good 3 point guy and has just really not looked great from there so far this season.
We're going to have to rely on Graves and Cooper for potentially extended minutes coming up here for a while. Wade might kill our starters with 36-40 minutes a game practically but inevitably we're going to have to play Graves/Cooper as long as Manning, Taylor and Bishop remain out. I hope we can keep things rolling this weekend at Ole Miss and they havent been good at all in SEC play but we're going to have some pretty gutsy performance from the starting group to pull that one out.

Not a bad take. It’s gonna be gritty

It's definitely nice that we are currently 4-0 because I agree that there could be some struggles over the next couple of weeks. We are very thin right now.

Graves is a good player and shooter. Defensively he's always in the correct position. We will be fine with him playing more minutes.

It’s time to narrow the focus

Andre Hyatt lives in the Danger zone.
Marshall Graves was born in the Danger zone.
James Bishop is mayor of the Danger zone

Wade mentioned this morning that they hope to get Taylor back as soon as this Saturday. Hope they do because he is needed.

I think bishop is just bad. He’ll play now that we have no other choice.
Hyatt, Graves, Cooper, Bishop off the bench. Yeah that’s not great. We’ll see what Wade can do

I have been wondering what’s going on with Bishop. Can anybody shed some light on his situation?

That would be great, but seems fishy they wouldnt even travel him Tuesday if they think he's playing this Saturday unless they left him home for treatments which I guess makes sense.
That being said, Taylor this year hasnt even been close to Taylor last year, part of that is Waters is gone and he has no one to alley oop it to him, but another part is clearly this injury is lingering for him.

Yep, in the last home game after half time you can tell my his body language he was pissed about not playing. I think someone told Wade he was still hurting and Wade didn't let him play.

He was very slow when we were pressing the other night and allowed the A&M guy to blow past him a few times. Hopefully he can turn up the intensity on defense soon.

I dont think this has anything to with his absence and he certainly wasn't bad at all. He showed some stuff in some games and overall was one of the better guys off the bench. I'd easily have him ahead of Graves or Cooper as far as rotation minutes (and he was the first 11 games). He's also played better at least offensively than Hyatt as well. Bishop is a guy you're building with for future, he will be a player down the line. Him going from 10-ish minutes first 11 games to 0 minutes last 5 games has to be dealing with something like injury/suspension.

If Graves was this good he would have had way more minutes than he's had so far this year, just saying. Not trying to rag on the guy but he's an emergency option for a reason.

FWIW KenPom has him listed with a red number under games played on Bishop's individual stats page, meaning he's currently out due to injury...not sure if Ken knows something or he's just guessing as to why he fell out of the rotation suddenly.

They were in Danger Zone with everyone healthy. Horseshoe in arse has got us two wins from nowhere. IMO it was always going to b a bubble team. Hope the shoe stays implanted.

After the beginning of the year performance no one expected this team to be here at 4-0. They are gritty and do not quit! That is a Will Wade team. 20+ win season and 75% win percent in the SEC. That will more than fulfill this season.
People were posting a month ago whether this team will make the NIT. They have 15 games remaining. 10 more wins is definitely in their grasps

Maybe now that football season is over, we can get a beat writer to ask a question about this.
