I assume everyone would say

This was expected… we lost all of our players and brought in an entirely new roster… under the threat of sanctions and so on

We see now we have two or three SEC caliber players. If there are three, two are freshmen.

In hindsight this is what we expected. Had we not started practically undefeated (one-loss on a technicality) and won our first SEC game against a paper tiger would everyone be calling for the coach’s head like they are now?

Nah we were like 8th or 9th in the SEC preseason poll not DFL.

Can't imagine that being even shittier over the course of the season would give people more confidence.

Yeah 15 new players and we were 8th or 9th

Dude. There is no sugar coating this. It is very evident McMahon cannot coach at this level currently.

This.

Mizzou killed us on man 2 man all 2nd half, and CMM did nothing.

I still don’t know how the hell we beat Wake and barely lost to an extremely good Kansas State team.

That’s my question. If we didn’t start so hot and have everyone screaming that we are gonna be in the tourney in year 1 would you think the same?

Or would you be more willing to blow it off as season 1 under extremely and uniquely bad circumstances?

CMMs resume clearly shows that he can coach. That said I don’t know if he can recruit SEC players.

The non-conference schedule was basically a high school schedule. You beat what has turned out to be a very average Arkansas team. The team has regressed throughout the year. I don’t get your question.

It doesn’t matter how they started. You are supposed to improve throughout the year and they have not at all.

Blame it on the roster all you want but there are glaring coaching deficiencies every single game.

So had we not had the season we had would we feel different?

Yes I think so

If we could hire a bonafide tier 1 coach tomorrow I 100% think we should. What tier 1 coach would come here tomorrow?

I’m just curious how people would think about basketball had we not started the way we did.

When Wade was canned and every player transferred out what kind of season did you think we’d have? Something like this one? I’m sure you didn’t think we’d start with 15 wins.

Somehow everybody is fricking surprised we suck.

This roster is not last place in the SEC bad. Whatever makes you feel better. I think realistically with a good coach this team is 6-11 or 7-10 in conference and much more competitive.

That’s not perspective that’s an alternate reality. Two different things.

Our guard play was bad and got worse all season. It was garbage tonight.

I’ll say it again…it is HOW we are losing. I would be okay with losing every game this year if you saw fight and grit every game, knowing the situation we had going into the year.

Getting blown out by teams just as bad as you are, and consistently losing by double digits at home and to SEC rivals with little passion shown by our coach and the players won’t cut it. At the very least be good at SOMETHING, or show some recruiting skills. We screwed boys.
