bnfii, could you please accurately define what "on the bubble" actually means? I mean I must be a simpleton because that link of your's sure does look like LSU is on the bubble to me.

ftr, the rpi is 82. not sure why people keep quoting espn. their number means nothing officially.

As you quote a wordpress account for validity in bracketology.... Dude get over yourself.

quote:

as others have said, it's not impossible. i'm not sure what it would take to compensate for the 2-6 road record and no top 50 wins on the road.

There's a reason why teams are on the bubble; it's because their resume lacks something. Lets look at other bubble teams on your "wordpress" bracketology:

Georgia Tech 1 road win at Tulane... 1 neutral win vs Ark. WOA BIG TIME ROAD WARRIORS!

Tulsa - 1 road win over a top 100 Kenpom team SCARY LEGIT

Arkansas - 1 total road win at Missouri. HOLY MOLY INCREDIBLE!

Evansville - 1 road victory ovber a top 100 team, 0 road wins over top 50 KenPom teams. IM SHIVERING IN MY BOOTS!

Seton Hall - 1 road win vs top 100 team. OMG SO MUCH BETTER THAN LSU.

Meanwhile LSU has true road victories over #32 Vanderbilt in one of the toughest places to play in basketball and at 88 Alabama a team that has abused a few NCAA tournament teams already... Add the top 25 win over UK at home and a 2nd place standing in the SEC and you get a tournament resume at least as good as those teams above LSU in your bracketology you posted...

Should I go on?

Our big road losses were with 40% of our starting lineup out. We are a better team now and most sane people realize that.

Keep using predictive things to tell you LSU finishes 80+... LOL.

Nailed it... some people act like we're the only team with problems. If other bubble teams had better resumes, they wouldn't be on the bubble to start with.

I agree with you, and so does the committee. The better we do in SEC play, the more the committee will be willing to overlook our losses without Hornsby/Victor. The RPI doesn't reflect that at all.

Where in the hell Did those obscure sites even come from? Wonder how hard it was to find one that fit his narrative.

Yep. Did the same on CBS.

A quick look shows that LSU opponents went 7-3 yesterday... Boosted our RPI.

They should basically all be the same seeing that they use the same formula but amazingly they never seem to match.

Also think a win over Oklahoma could get us into top 55 and a loss would still put us around 73 or 74.

So what is our current RPI? I just looked at ESPN and it said 75.

ESPN has our RPI a little higher than CBS. It all uses a basic formula, but the calculation gets long and there are some small differences. Our current RPI is somewhere between 75 and 79.

Not to mention that the bracket matrix website that he likes to quote for accuracy literally has LSU on the bubble

He's yet to define what he considers to be his bubble. Seems to think it's a set formula for some reason and not open to interpretation
