When is the last time we ran a legitimate play on offense in a half court set?

Let's see...

Can't shoot FT's (shoot less than 69% all years under JJ)
Can't possess the ball (we're a turnover machine)
Can't play defense
Can't run a half court offense

The SEC is a second or third tier basketball league. Any mediocre team would easily take 2nd place every year.

Let's face it. LSU has placed no value on basketball. Current coach (or lack thereof) is proof. It's really a shame because the whole state would jump on the basketball bandwagon in about 2 seconds if there was a good product. Never gonna happen with this coach. And, YES, it starts with the administration and the coach.

I think we won the last game of the season on Tuesday. Every game from now is to load stats for the opponent teams and players.

If this keeps up, the administration can't just let it keep sliding this bad. I didn't think JJ would make it through the season before it started..it sure as hell is looking like a Feb./early March Firing for sure now.

Highlight I've seen so far is Torris Bright leaving early while rocking his own jersey from '03

I wouldn't go that far. Coach Jones has just been worse than anyone thought.

That should get the team fired up. Nice Technical.
Johnny Jones trying to get angry is hilarious.

Although I really think it needs to happen, I don't see Alleva firing Jones until after the season. Nobody in power gives 2 fricks about LSU Basketball enough to force the issue.

No. He's been exactly what everyone KNEW he was when he was hired--a good recruiter who couldn't coach. There was a reason no one was excited about the hire. We all knew it would be a 3,4,5 year waste of time. Jones was NEVER going to be the guy to potentially move LSU to becoming a championship. That's why his tenure has just been a waste of time. You knew he'd have to be replaced sooner rather than later

Opinions are like... armpits. Mine is simply that current coach is not a "National-elite" level coach. Even before he coached a game at LSU, he wasn't one of the elite coaches in NCAA. Not sure that LSU could lure someone like that, but... Everyone has his price, and in my opinion, LSU could have dangled a more lucrative contract out there to get the program back on the right track.

Agree that no one knew JJ would be this much of a failure, but LSU made a questionable-at-best hire, and is going down with this sinking ship for at least two years too long.

Only play I've seen is America's play.. literally the simplest play in basketball that my 4th grade team ran, just downscreen for Blakeney to get a three at the top, and i've seen that like twice

Tell Dale, Collis, and Co to go lick themselves, fire this bastard and start hunting for a decent BB Coach. Hopefully JA is already making some calls.

I know most joke that Jones should be fired after almost every loss, but he actually could and should be after this one. Might as well let livingston run it the rest of the way to see what he's got.

How does a college team only have one inbounds play?

We can finally see why Moo St. is a terrible team.

This is not bashing on players but other than Blakeney, who on this club could be a starter on an elite team like Duke, KY, NC, etc?

Lemme guess, we went down by 20 and are now trying to fight back to lose by single digits.
