Lol...people act like we should win every game. Get used to it...this team is going to have troubles. We will have a lot of close games this season win or lose.

Good effort, but it's been the same excuses at the beginning of every year lately. Why is it that Calipari can go anywhere and have his freshman be All-Americans from the start, but we have to wait?

You're kidding right?

Bottom line - NW made adjustments at half and TJ did nothing. We score 41, 41. NW scores 32, 56. Outcoached yet again. And can someone teach Storm not to foul?

Why would they not fire him now? He sat there and watched the zone tear us apart. He didn't try to coach, he sat there and watched the game. The team played their asses off and the coach just took his paycheck. Disgusting

Northwestern will be NIT bound, again.

Maybe we'll get a re-match with them.

Northwestern is the better team, the favorite, lsu was not suppose to win this game. They won 20 games the last two years and have everyone back.

lsu showed a lot of improvement. they played with them to the end. if they continue to improve as they have, this will be a decent to good team. 8-8 in conference isn't out of reach. there isn't a bunch of great teams in the s.e.c.

We lost this game due to youth. hickey has got a ways to go, foul trouble hurt us. however, effort was not lacking. I'm not into moral victories, however, i'm not into all you guy's running the team and coach down after three games either.

i guess you expected lsu to be U.N.C.?

lost a 9 point lead at a decent coastal carolina

lost a 14 point lead vs a decent northwestern

just break down in already borderline average fundamentals, bad in the halfcourt, open threes and too many 2nd chances. signs of a talented team that needs to improve, i dont want to say young because they aren't. just hope they get better and i won't count them out for a few more weeks. at times our 3 freshman and a sophomore are the best players on the court so you've got to like that. feel bad for the players but some of them need to pick it up. frustrating but i will be watching them play western kentucky tomorrow. may as well try and shoot for a good matchup in the 3rd place game. i'd like to see them play a vcu or a seton hall.

I personally would be happy with that and a NIT berth.

Give this team some time, they will be MUCH better than last year. Winning the West is totally possible this year.

NW is an NCAA Tournament team. They seem like a 5-7 seed type team.

Northwestern has never gone to the NCAA tournament and probably won't this year.

No, we shouldn't win EVERY game. We should just not lose 2 out of 3 games against weak to "decent" teams.

Mark my words, this team will be pretty decent come SEC time. These are the games that make you better.

This is how I felt after we lost to Wichita State last year. Turner went off. Everyone played their arse off. Then we won 3 SEC games.

It wasn't like we didn't know what to do against the zone. Damn.
At times we played it perfectly. Far too often we had young guys in Hickey and Stringer and Turner who simply tried to take what wasn't there. That happens.
I'm not down on TJ over this one. Later in the year, this team will find ways to win this type of game.

Yes the team will be better because of talent, but has nothing to do with coaching. Anyone can sit there and do nothing like TJ did. Imagine if we had a coach who told them how to play against the zone

shite, this team with the addition of Ricardo & Malik would be one of the top 5 talented teams in the SEC.
