The last 30 seconds have been a dumpster fire
What does that mean? I swear that this might be the dumbest, most overused expression on this site. Normal people almost everywhere have never said those words nor have they been exposed to them.
Is it that a dumpster fire is ugly, in the context you used it? Pretty sure a dumpster is just as ugly on fire vs not. Its also contained. Make a better analogy and end the lazy idiocy.

I have to say that was a very satisfying win. My son who plays basketball was cringing when we had only scored 12 points with like 3 minutes remaining in the first half.
The lsu fan turnout was great! We hijacked their 'gold.. black'cheer by yelling tigers instead of black.
Then in the second half all you could hear was LSU! LSU! LSU!
Great game tigers.

We put on a crap show in the first half, woke up in the 2nd. Beating Vandy in there is always great ! Hopefully get to take them out again in the tourney.

I enjoyed bob knight on the telecast. Never afraid to say what's on his mind.

I could hear you guys! At first I thought I was imagining things.
Thanks for going and supporting them.

I agree. I just wish he could be SLIGHTLY less curmudgeon-y. You can be a great analyst and really know your stuff without being miserable. See: Jay Bilas.

I don't like the guy from past behavior and outlandish public statements as a coach.
I did like some of the comments he made during last night's game though.
His call on Martin was absolutely right.
I also liked how he said LSU needs to widen their half court offense. He noted that they only use 2/3 of the court instead of getting out wide, stretching out the defenders and giving more opportunities for numerous passes till there's a chance for a jumper/lay-up in the lane, a pass inside, or a completely uncontested 3. Then one of the post defenders double teaming JOB will have to leave him to defend out towards the perimeter creating space. OR stay on him leaving other holes in the defense. Wish we'd try that.
After he said that, I watched our set offense with that in mind. He's right, we don't spread the floor enough on our "circle till JOB get's relatively open" play (basically our only set offense). We're in much too tight. Whoever's on the wing is in too close and not close enough to the baseline for back drives.
Did you notice that once LSU started coming back in the 2nd half he never really mentioned them again?

Guards with length, we are missing that.
Coleman, you know the 2 guard who has started the last 9 games, must be the shortest, 6'5" guard in SEC history
Coleman was a great pick up to fill the roster in Johnny's first year, but lets be honest. The dude hits the side of the rim 70% of the time, even when he is wide open. He isnt the best at driving to the basket, and he gets off of his feet every time somebody fakes a shot on the defensive end. He may have length and plays hard, but the dude isnt the greatest talent.

You're right. Let's just celebrate the awful attempts at imagery and metaphor. Dumpster fire is a great replacement for "mess."

Thanks.
I'm learning as much as I can.
I've only been here 6 years, but I've learned a bunch from my husband who played with Collis on Dale's "Hustlers" in 1972-4 (and played with Collis for Press 1970-71).
I asked if he knew this story and he was there and remembers it well.
I know many of those stories of those early days and how crazy it was.
My husband was involved in a lot of basketball fights, on and off the court. He stuck up for Dale and was ready to go toe to toe with anyone that threatened him, which wasn't unusual in those days
I'll have to post a few.
Were you watching LSU basketball then?
